Will Kell Brook come to America to fight Alexander or does he not want the belt?

This fight won't happen. Brook vs Zaveck for vacant belt, spring 2013 in Sheffield. BANK ON IT.

Yeah thats what i`m thinking too, its seems the more likely when you look at both camps and that Matchroom will more than likely win the purse

Unless...unless it's Andre Ward of course.

Why was Kessler forced to go to Oakland and Ward never left, except for the final?

Not quite sure, but I find it hard to believe GBP and Al Haymon will give up the belt that easily. Alexander has only just got his hands on it.

I don't think GBP care as much about Alexander as Hearn does about Brook. Brook is Hearn's future cash cow; Alexander is the guy who stinks up the joint in an empty arena during the first fight on a four-fight broadcast. :yep

that is something that ive been thinking why win the belt? So if Matchroom win the purse bids and its at Sheffield will he go or drop the belt after only just getting it? Or is he just going for recognition of being a two weight world champ no matter how short a time he has the belt?

You have a point there, which makes it more of a reality that Hearn will win the purse bid

Lol that's true. But to be fair to him, he's improved and is doing what's necessary to win (even if he does stink the joint out). GBP and Haymon will still see value in that. Having a world title in your stable is handy - regardless of which fighter it belongs to.

If GBP/Al Haymon stick by their guns, I wouldn't be surprised if Matchroom let it slide. They'd happily have Kell fight another soft opponent while they wait for an easier shot at a title. Their main desire, and they've admitted this, is to fight Hatton or Khan. Taking the risk to travel for a Devon Alexander, is not worth it for them.

But, it's still not clear. Need to wait for things to develop. See what GBP have got to say on the matter.

I think I read Hearn saying something like: We're going for a world title, but Hatton and Khan, if the opportunity came, would take precedent.

I think it was more about the offer that made Hearn and Brook turn it down, some bits where Arum gets % of Brooks winnings etc, plus it seems better to be a mando and force the champ to either fight of relinquish the belt.

Also Carson Jones turned a fight down with Bradley, it must have been a shite offer for someone like Jones to turn it down
