A Look At Rigondeaux's Resume And What He's Done To Be Considered So Great

Teon Kennedy is an ESPN level fighter and was coming off of a very good fight that ended in a fair draw against another ESPN level fighter Chris Martin. ANd in the fight before that he lost a decision to a nobody who lost a 4 rounder 6 months before beating Kennedy. Kennedy also has a draw vs Lante Addy in 09. Addy was 8-4 at the time and lost 4 of his last 5 and then the two fights after Kennedy. One was against Rigo himself. Kennedy is NOT anything close to a top fighter he is an exciting fighter that should never be fighting for titles. He also fed into Rigo's style perfectly. Comes forward throwing a lot of punches with no skill or purpose except just to have a high workrate and with no power at all on them and he got counter to death. Show me anything that would be considered a top win on his resume.

Robert Marroquin has fought no one of any note(which is being kind because every opponent on his resume is a complete tomato can) and not to long ago lost a decision to a complete journey men in Francisco Neal who was 14-5-3. He might be a good fighter but please show he proof. He has done nothing but beat up fighters that are there to pad a record. He got dominated by Rigo and outside of two left hooks that managed to rock Rigo he did nothing in the fight. And honestly didnt even really try.

Willie Casey was a green nobody and Rigo treated him as such. Casey beat no one and since has still beaten no one and even lost to a no one. This win is not even rankable.

Rico Ramos has never looked impressive. Not in his win on shobox before he won the title and definitely not winning the title. The guy did absolutely nothing for more then 6 rounds before having 1 punch save him. Just the single punch. And Ramos isn't even a puncher and Shimodo isn't exactly a proven iron chinned fighter. He was dropped by Lee in his previous fight. You can't even walk away from that saying "wow Ramos can change a fight with one punch" because he can't. It was the closest thing to a lucky punch that you can get. And against Rigo he did even less even before getting dropped then after that he was like a hermit crab. And honestly just gave up when he felt a decent body shot and Rigo honestly should have taken that deer in head lights out much sooner. And Rico just barely won his next fight against a nobody.

His best win is Ricardo Corboda which was a good win esp that early in his career but he was dropped and honestly stunk out the place. And Cordoba was a good fighter but the last decent opponent he fought Dunne knocked him out and sent him out on a stretcher and to the hospital for a long time after the fight. Dunne was destroyed in 3 rounds in his next fight and retired. And Dunne also has a 1 round TKO lose on his record. Rigo didn't look impressive at all. And every fight after this outside of Ramos they put him against a pressure fighter that fit right into his style.

Rigo needs to fight someone that can push him and test him. He needs to fight a proven top guy to show he is at that level that everyone thinks he is. He does that then a fight with Donaire would make sense and it would be warranted. Right now if they fought and Donaire won and Rigo just retires WHO THE **** is gonna look at that win as anything really meaningful? That win would be forgetten before Donaire retires.

Im not hating or nut hugging. Everything I said is true and please if Im wrong show me. Rigo needs a win against a top fighter someone like Poon or the Mares/Moreno winner. **** even someone like Frampton or Agbeko. To think that he should just be given a Donaire fight because he looks impressive against lower level opposition and has fast hands with some power is a joke.

He got a title so obviously he is good enough to challenge another title holder.

Show me one Rigo thread that I've made. I make one every week so show me at least one of them.

And again please tell me where I'm wrong. I'm not hating I'm actually trying to have a knowledgeable discussion about the subject. So please if you can show me what Rigo has done to fight a top 5 P4P fighter.

And tell me I'm wrong that if he fought a top fighter or big name that a Donaire fight would be bigger and would mean more.

Agbeko called him out hardcore. I guess that means Rigondeaux is shamefully ducking who would be the best opponent of his career, especially if I use Rigo-fan logic.

The Rico Ramos win is his best and is a legit one. However, compared to the guy that Rigo fans always talk about and whine about, Donaire, it MIGHT be in his top 5 victories.

Darchinyan, Marquez, Montiel, Nishioka, Sidorenko, Vazquez Jr, Mathebula, Narvaez..... **** even Martinez and Mthalane are better wins then Ramos.

Rico Ramos wouldn't be in Donaire's top 10 best wins.

No, its not a good challenge because Mayweather has lots of better options.

Who are Donaire's options? Shot Arce?

Also, who called him great? There might be some that think he COULD be great, but I havnet seen anyone say he's great right now.

    Not the best example.

Paulie has actually been in with some top class fighters.

    But yeah,your point is valid.

Isn't that fight cancelled? Maybe Donaire thinks its just a waste of time, he won't get credit for it.

You haven't seen anyone call him great? Apparently Donaire is scared shitless of him and is a fiuture top P4P fighter and everyone is ducking him,. He'd KO Doanire and everyone else in the division.

Doanire at the option to fight every opponent at 126 and Mares/Moreno winner at 122. **** even someone like Agbeko.

Why doesn't Rigo stop fighting bums and just fight a top name that would make people say that the fight needs to happen. Everyone that wants to see this fight wants to see it because of how good Rigo MIGHT be. Why not show he;s that good before the fight?

Clearly Rigondeaux right now would not be anywhere close to Donaire's three best wins.
