no is my personal ranking. I just put him in top 20 base on what i've seen. Very few fighters wowed me and he did. Actually i think he impressed a lot of people. Mathbula got a shot he only beat one good person. That he haven't done enough excuse is quite played out. We all know why Donaire is not too eager to fight Rigo.

Dragging fighters out of their weight class? Agbeko called out Rigo HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why not fight him in dec? If he dominates Agbeko everyone would look and go "Ok this kid is the real deal".

Yes, and Tyson said he's gonna eat Lewis kids hearts, and mayorga said he's gonna **** oscars wife, and Hopkins trashed the rican flag in PR,and Morales and Barrera trashed each other every time.
Boxers talk about their opponents to build up the fight.
    Other story is ducking.
    Learn the difference.

Ten years from now if Rigo retires 11-1 with a KO lose to DOnaire as his last fight Donaire would get credit? Would be a top 5 or even top 10 win for Donaire? NO!!!!

Rigo would be looked at as nothing more then an 11 fight hype job novice that got KO'd the first time he stepped up in class. If you think otherwise YDKSAB.

This "theoretical immediate retirement" is some of the most asinine logic being thrown around in this thread. The same exact damn thing could have been said about Vazquez Jr, the guy deemed so much worthier of Donaire's first fight.

Why people can't understand this is beyond me. These "boxing fans" are nothing but fan boys who look for any reason to pump up their fighter. They don't know or care about BOXING.

That's funny the only fighter that isn't a bum he wants to fight is Donaire.

He doesn't want to fight the best he wants to fight bums and cash out vs Doanire.

Vazquez isn't in his 30's with over 300 ama fights. Rigo is obviously trying to get to the top with as little risk as possible and once he gets there and is knocked out early I highly doubt his career continues. And if it does not much longer.

And regardless you see the point and its the truth. Rigo isn't some 22 year old that people are expecting great things from for years and years. He's an old amateur who thinks he deserevs the best by doing the least and does seem to keen on fight other top fighters only Donaire.

Rigo vs Donaire/or bum and the Cubans love it.

No? He didn't lose a close decision(which was a robbery) to a prime 122 Cabellero in his prime from the 122 pound title? And didn't fight N"dloiva or whatever his name is twice? No?

    Hmmmmm.:patsch

    Keep trying genius.

But Vazquez still could have retired immediately after the fight!!! Wouldn't that be a sight for sore eyes on Donaire's immaculate resume, an SD win over a guy who had just been knocked out and who never fought again.

Rigondeaux's called out Mares as well. Given how his promoter doesn't play nice with others however, it makes all the sense in the world to call out the top guy from within that stable in his own weight class.

And this idea that Rigondeaux is merely content fighting bums is unadulterated speculative bull****. He just had a contract dispute with Top Rank in part over his level of competition. He can only fight who they put in front of him though, and the company in question seems to have no interest whatsoever in paying anyone decent the necessary amount of money to fight him.
