Got to go with Ike,he was looking like a cert to be champ for a decent stint. Shame about the mental problems.
Ike is overrated!!!! I tought Tua beat him, so his best win was SMW. There is only two decent names in his resume. Rahman by wide UD.
Prime Rahman gets starched by Ibeabuchi, whether he boxes or brawls. Ibeabuchi eventually caught up to the slick boxing Chris Turd, I mean Byrd, in a fight where Ibeabuchi came in out of shape, and had only sparred 4 rounds in preperation, as his trainer Curtis Cokes wasn't even with Ike for the whole camp. That not in top condition or form, Ibeabuchi, would have beaten the **** out of Rahman, who was too chinny, not to get hit by something big from the boxer, puncher, brawler, Ibeabuchi. Also, if Ibeabuchi takes Tua's **** for 12 rounds, I don't seem him having a problem with the less elusive Rahman, who doesn't take a good punch.
:deal The guy KOes Byrd and has a close fight with Tua and now he's unstoppable. Now he will defeat both Klitschko bros and Lewis on the same night, KO Ali and Tyson the next day and rule the HW scene for 50 years. Ike is just another Sam Peter. Even Peter has a better resume then him, because at least he won a title and defeated some top 10 fighters like Toney,Mcline and Maskaev. Also, Peter sent Wladimir 3 times to the canvas, and what did Ike do except for the Byrd KO?
Prime Rachman couldn't even beat a heavyset Tua (first fight). I don't think he makes 8 rounds with either Tua or Ike in their prime forms. They were actually in prime forms when they fought each other.
He beat the best version of Tua and Byrd (who went on to become a champion later) and he had less than 20 fights. I'd say that's pretty fukkin impressive for a prospect. Dude reminded me of a giant Holyfield. Not to mention Tua went on to knockout several future champions like Maskaev, Rachman himself, Ruiz ect.
reminds more of Golota then Holy. He had the physical tools to be world champ, but also serious mental issues. Holyfield is actually mentally strong and it's important for a boxer. Even if Ike didn't collapse and go to jail his chin would get dented after a couple of fights and he would be KOed by everybody who lands on him.
You guys don't realize he beat Byrd and the best version of Tua, while still a prospect. He wasn't a veteran yet, he was still learning the fight game and getting better. He hadn't reached his peak yet.
I agree with the mental issues but he was way too young for his chin to be dented like that. Tua also took massive shots in that fight, and his chin remained cast iron for years afterwards. In fact that was the only hard fight Ike had. Guys like Chavez, Evander, Robinson, Hagler, Margarito, Lamotta ect retired with good chins and they went to war on a regular basis.
It's funny how many fans don't recognize Ibeabuchi's actual skill and simply compare him to Tua, Ibeabuchi didn't only have power and stamina, he also had highly underrated skills. I would pick Ibeabuchi to TKO Rahman in round 7 in this one.
Ibeabuchi beats rahman all day, every day. he'd knock him out by the 6th with no problems. rahman isn't going to use the ring, so Ike is going to get to him very easily. and rahmans overrated jab sure isn't going to keep him at bay. it seems as though people are overrating rahman to a crazy level... he was good, but nothing more. i know some people do the same with Ike, but that is a whole lot more warranted than a rahman, for gods sake.
Ibeabuchi WOULD win by KO or decision, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT This dood was primed to be the next dominant american heavyweight He really had it all. Great power, Phenomenal stamina for the amount of muscle he had, super-tested chin vs a prime Tua (and he just plain beat out Tua in the pocket while Tua was the favored), besides being a banger he had strong boxing skills. He had the physicality and the abilities of being the next dominant heavyweight....
