Emanuel Steward has passed. R.I.P Legend

His been ill for sometime, that f*cking tw@tter ain't the thing to start quoting. But if Ricky has said something about it, I think a few people know for certain.

 

Hasn't Richard Towers been training with K2, maybe hes let Hatton know

 

Towers and Banks have both tweeted that hes passed away.

A real loss to the sport both as a trainer, commentator and just general source of knowledge if true but I do see things like this appearing every now and then on twitter/facebook. Ricky Hattons tweets aren't reuters lets hope it's a ruse.

 

Very, very sad news.

I think he has been ill for some time, in the most recent images I saw of him he looked quite frail and he had aged considerably.

His contributuions on HBO were amongst the best, and whenever he was interviewed he gave such reasoned opinions and views.

I know he has been pasrt of many fighters careers, but anyone who can include Hearns and Lewis amongst their charges has got to be something special.

The way in which he changed Wladimir's game is extraordinary, even Wladimir acknowledges that he was huge influence in turning his career round following his losses to Sanders and Brewster.

It will be very interesting to see how the remainder of Klitschkos career pans out with his dear friend and trainer now gone.

Rest in peace Manny.

Such a poorly written article for such a delicate subject.

 

I just read this on the hype. I so hope this is not true. I was just shocked to the bone when I read that. If it is true, R.I.P. Emanuel Steward. You were the best of your generation. You will be missed by fighters and fans alike.

 

RIP, hopefully he's still fighting though. If theres one thing Steward is it's a fighter, still hoping its just rumour and he pulls another miracle out of the bag.
