Fights you have been completely wrong about!

By far the one I got most badly wrong was Tyson-Spinks.I was a big fan of Mike in his prime but I was desperate to see him truly tested,and I really thought Jinx was the man to do it.

Silly me.

 

And I have to admit,JMM is my favourite active fighter(by a whisker) and I thought the last fight with Pac would be a comprehensive loss.

I did say many times(to much disrespectful laughter) in the general that Froch would stop Bute in the first round,but I count that as a great prediction when held up against the vast majority.

 

I thought Froch was hugely over-rated and didnt have the power or the skill to beat Bute.

I had Lacy beating Calzaghe (I was young, blame the hype)

Thought Pacquiao would destroy Bradley.

I thought Pac was decidedly average against Bradley, had him winning by a couple of rounds but certainly wouldn't call it a schooling. His power seems to have left him and he doesn't seem to have the same engine he used to have...

 

Thought Abraham would stop Froch. That's an embarrassing one. atsch

 

I had 20 quid on Malignaggi to beat Khan :yep

 

Margarito ruined him.

A fighter with Margarito's size shouldn't be in there with someone as small as Manny, who's only really an artificial welter.

Margarito ought to have been at 160 for quite some time.

His footspeed seems to have disappeared, he's more hittable than before and doesn't anticipate openings as well either.

I think he peaked during the fight against Cotto. That was a stunning performance.

There's only so many hard fights you can have, over a long career he's had more than most.

Abraham knocked Taylor spark out and was getting to Dirrell before the DQ.

In hindsight it's an awful pick, but perfectly understandable given where they both were at the time.

 

Manny is also a come forward fighter in his 30's that relies on speed and has been living a hectic life style. Probably a massive **** head too for a long time, he used to spend a lot of time in pool halls.

 

i also remember the first pay per view i ever watched Nas vs barrera and i though nas was going to win by a country mile!! ah to be young again!!
