Didn't Roy get blasted out in 1 round by Green soon after? He was clearly past it.

Hey pal, did you bet all that vcash on Jones? How come so many fighters predicted that Roy would win this fight and then after the event you all want to downgrade the victory? We can all be wise after the event, who did you predict to win the fight before hand?

Mosley ain't as shot as Jones jr who last victory was against a shot trinidad out of retirement. Plus Floyd didn't fall on his ass.

Jones was past prime by then and had no business travelling abroad like that and taking on a cruiserweight with the power of Danny Green, there was always a chance in that fight that roys weak punch resistance would be exposed.

C'mon pal, that was an illegal forearm and you know it. the fact that Calzaghe recovered from that foul makes it an even better win. How many times has Jones been knocked down in his career and how many times has he actually showed the balls to get up off the canvas and actually win?

Huh? Mosley went life and death with "The Latin Snake" Sergio Mora after his fight with Floyd and got a draw. He basically ran from Manny for 12 rounds. He got destroyed by Canelo. :rofl

Jones Jr went on to beat Glen Johnson conquer Omar Sheika and the great American SMW hope Jeff Lacy. :deal

Think your missing the point pal, all those wins were performances where the victor was given huge credit. My opening post stayed 'underated performances'.

Joe beat what was left out of him. Just like Joe beat the HOF potential out of Lacy. But at the point Joe fought him, Jones Jr wasn't as past it as people think.

Nothing remotely like the ali v berbick fight. After Ali lost to Berbick, did he go out in his next 2 fights and put on 2 absolute exhibitions over 2 world rated fighters like Jones did. Quit clutching at straws, from now on I won't even be responding to troll posts like this.

Was an illegal forearm and that just adds to the quality of Calzaghe performance and the elite recovery powers shown.

In the anals of masterclassery, I'd place it somewhere between the masterclass Rocky gave Thunderlips and the masterclass Axl Rose gave Tommy Hilfiger. Masterclass.

Nonsense, quit the denial pal and give credit where credit is due. Calzaghe was virtually shot himself with the most brittle hands in boxing and he still moved up weights and was prepared to travel half way round the world to make the fight. After the corrupt in officiating in the Hopkins fight, you could have forgiven Calzaghe for demanding the fight in Wales and he nearly got screwed by the referee again when he allowed Jones to use his forearms as a weapon.
