If by elite you mean top 3 LMW then sure, but LMW is a pretty weak division right now. On a side note, Austin Trout has no idea how to score a fight!

Of course. Cotto just gave Floyd a competitive fight. Cotto instead of going downhill is slowly gaining his confidence and hunger back.

Kinda. Cotto, like Mayweather, isn't really a natural 154lb fighter. And Trout has obvious advantages in size. Like lewishamboy said though, LMW is a pretty weak division right now... so depending on how he wins, he should be near the top of the pile.

id like Cotto to humble this trout.

i kind of smell an upset though

    kid seems hungry.

if the odds are nice, 10 on Trout UD might get me some cash, more likely to lose it, but thats why its a bet!

trout will win. cotto is too damn short and will get his little ears boxed off. will it make him elite? not sure, he will have proved he could beat a blown up super lightweight..... but if cotto wins it will prove he beat a full fledged junior middle

But the argument can be made for McBride also.
