had done it once i heard, and will probably change the avatar of him to several different ones for a while. Without it being suggested, as I expect will remain the norm, if they weren't gonna do it themselves, this wont change them, or make them wrong.

    Bit creepy thread.

Still in seriousness I know what y'all are doing is in good hearts but you should not need someones passing as a time to show a group appreciation for a special someone. Not against this and RIP Steward.

Its just an acknowledgement out of respect

I know. But acknowledgement for one's death should not be the only reason a group of people should pay respects to someone is what I'm saying. Again I said I'm not against this.

    Are you dumb?

There are literally hundreds of boxing icons and trainers and fighters who deserves our respect. We don't have time for them all. We can't just make
appreciation threads every day for the hundreds of boxers who deserve them.
A hugely tragic event like this just brought forth a chance to focus on one of them and the amazing life/career he had.

I don't get how the **** you DON'T GET THIS. When was the last time someone appreciated Pernell Whitaker on here? Does that mean he's forgotten? No. There's just not that many topics involving him. But if he passed away, an appreciation thread should rightfully be made to bring forth our remberance for him.

Awesome avatar mate, four legends of the sport. Think of all the great fights these guys gave us, all the hype and interest they generated.

Think of all the great fighters, trainers and broadcasters who'll be lining up to pay their respects. Says everything about what Manny achieved

I get you, and he was greatly appreciated while he was alive..

Its just a way anon people on a forum can show their 'last' respect to a man who played a big part in the sport that we all loved
