Miranda took out Zombie Dawson in sparring. So its a no contest for me. Jones. Had it been at 175lb. :admin Ward all the way.
I don't know if fighting an old roy or drained dawson is more impressive.Probably Dawson if I had to choose considering he's in his prime.
Shot Jones jr or weight drained Dawson? They are both wins what should have happened under different circumstances, I don't really rate either at all. Make an option for 'they were both ****' please
calzaghe, Dawson was a typical ameribum hypejob, if he had been european we wouldnt even be having this thread.
:rofl are you saying Dawson at the time was as good as Jones in his prime? :rofl if your not then that comment makes no sense.
Are you saying that Jones was in his prime when he fought Calzaghe? If not then that comment makes no sense.
no im not saying he was, but ''ward didnt wait until dawson was old'' makes no sense...are you saying that in their primes dawson was on the same level as jones?
If Ward didn't accept Dawson's challenge , no doubt he would of been labled a ducker , coward etc... He took a fight with Dawson who called him out after he had just beaten an ATG. Ward the better win.
Dawson was a top 10 P4P fighter whether you like it or not. Roy had been shot for at least 4 years. Ward and it isn't close.
I can't speak for him, but It doesn't seem that is what he's saying. But to answer your question, obviously Dawson isn't anywhere near Jones prime for prime.
jones was much better than dawson in his prime - surely a well known fact. perhaps I should have said that 'Ward wouldnt wait' - but rather than speculation I wanted to cement the fact that he doesnt wait, not might not wait, so I said ' Ward didnt wait'. Meaning being, Ward wouldnt wait, 100% proven fact. Calzaghe on the actual evidence available, was happy to wait till his superiors were turning 40 or beyond before facing them. Though in his defence, he did face Kessler who had marginally more skill than him, and Robin Reid who was about on par with him. ok Mikkel and Robin are nowhere near prime Bhop and RJJ, but its something that stands above the rest fo Calzaghe's resume.
