Kashif Mumtaz was stopped on October 20th by Joe Blackburn (TKO) and only 4 days later, on October 24th, by James Beard (KO). Not good.
Apparently the people in Nz didn't get the results to nsw combat sports until Thursday morning a day to late. He was under suspension but no one in NSW knew until Thursday morning a very bad communication break down.
The bloke is booked up with fights till December, against the likes of Steve Lovett you it isnt going to get any better for his health either.
2 times in less than a week , pretty worrying stuff . I think also very foolish on the fighters behalf . I am guessing mumtaz has had enough fights to know the rules and to know he should not of been fighting
I agree, but it just shows how much of a glass jaw Sherrington has when his mate Darkhorse was on here bragging about Sherrington being some ironed chinned warrior.
If he had the same trainer in his corner as he did in NZ said trainer should be suspended at the very least, its in clear breach of the rules, a fighter who is knocked out must not fight for 30 days, all registerd trainers are aware of this rule.
Settle down cracka ,he broke a bone in his foot and couldn't stand up for the count.a TKO ain't the same as a KO.same thing happened to josh king on the same night.fair enough they got dropped but both would of been back on there feet easily within the count
..Kasif Mumtaz is a true road warrior of the sport...it takes trememdous heart to take fights at short notice and travel alone as the 'opponent' like he has done so many times..but sadly now he must be protected for his own good..someone has dropped the ball to allow this to happen to him..I hope he's ok..RESPECT!
