Great fight! I don't know who to call here. Perez has potential but has never faced anyone close to Chagaev as a pro yet. Neither have been really active as of late either.

Good fight. Perez has looked good against limited opposition. Chagaev is far more proven but past his best. In his recent fights Chag looked better than I expected him to. I think he should be given the edge over the inactive and unproven Perez but maybe Perez could step up. He's small for a heavyweight, but Chag is hardly a giant himself.

Chagaev sadly missed his prime due to the whole hepatitis thing. In his prime, he was a really, really good fighter and maybe the best win on Wlad's resume.

Perez UD. Chagaev is done, in his last fight he somehow contrived to take 7 rounds to stop a journeyman that even bloody Tom Dallas took out in one.

Great HW fight. Chagaev is a true test for a guy like Perez.

Perez wins. Chagaev is slow, chunky and faded. Not relevant at all anymore.

Gonna be a great weekend for heavyweight boxing, Price, Fury, Perez and Chagaev all fighting. I pick Perez possible late stoppage but most likely UD (if he comes in shape).

chagaev is such a joke. i would call him a bum killer, but he cant even do that, he either goes the 8 round distance or tkos them in 7 rounds like he did with his last bum opponent who had 18 losses. the guy before that had 12 losses, the bum b4 that had lost 3 of 6. he hasnt beaten a top 10 guy in forever. and who can forget his epic WBA title defenses over "carl davis drummond" and matt skelton :rofl:rofl
hopefully perez gets rid of this joke once and for all.

in a way his managment are to blame for **** poor opp..i think they have ruined him..just like sasha is being ruined..

its funny chagaev has left his mannagement and is now fighting a decent opponent..coincidence??i think not..he is either having another run for a title shot (and no better way to do it than beat up a few contenders) or he is cashing in and is now just going to be a scalp (gatekeeper) for these up and comers..im a fan of his so im hoping he has another go..
