there are still fights he can win at domestic level. What's the point though? He gets beaten by anyone with ambitions and at his age as far as winning any kind of title its over. He can win fights but it just seems so pointless to keep risking his health when he surely can't need the money.
The chase is everything in life, nobody here has any right in decide when somebody should stop the chase, that's personal! It's not even about the victories and achievements, it is essentially the chase that people miss most in life! Audley Harrison has the right to end his career how he wants, it's his life, and his career. Why are people so bothered..? sort it out, and seriously shut the **** up. Note: Don't even bother quoting me, because that is my last post in this thread.
Perhaps were bothered as consumers of Sports and dedicated Boxing channels, not to have our viewing schedules impinged by a complete boxing nonentity?
You are an ugly **** who stole his grandma's bicycle seat and sniffed the leather off it. .........bet it's not
In all seriousness: What is THE best possible fight out there for Audley in terms of profile and a realistic chance of winning or at least looking good in? I am tempted to say Chisora as he isn't that heavy handed, but he is an uber bully and I could see him stopping Audley within a round. I admire Audley's odd determination not to look facts in the face ... but I am struggling too see where his next worthwhile fight comes from? Sure he could do a job and latvian bums and lower level domestic fighters - but anyone with any kind of name or fighting heart KOs him VERY quickly
Whatever you say about Audley, at least he has more balls than any of you lot. Just imagine being completely **** at something, and all the stick you get for being ****. But you just keep trying, you just keep going, never giving up, because you believe one day, one day, you will make it. Audley is a legend in my eyes. The man is a role model to kids around the world for the perseverance, hard work and dedication in the face of adversity and ridicule. Yet he keeps coming back and he keeps smiling. A wonderful man and a wonderful boxer.
What has he done to people to make him not wonderful? He seems like a top man to me, isn't nasty nor is his behavior vile like some other fighters. He's not just a fighter, he is a promoter, and he helps sell fights, the smack talk vs. David Haye, helped sell the fight. Helped sell the fight more than David Haye's ability. So Audley really has to be commended for his salesman skills. Some of the abuse and stick I've seen the man get is totally uncalled for! Yes, he may be a level below world class, but he has been in there with world class opposition, David Haye, David Price, Danny Williams, Michael Sprott, all of these have fought for world titles except one. And according to many Ricky Burns' fans on here, Ricky Burns is world class and he hasn't fought anyone at Lightweight "world class"....but Audley Harrison HAS. But if he is man enough to go in there with those fighters, Audley is world class also. Not only is he world class IN the ring, he is also world class out of it, and considering some of the abuse the man gets on here and in the mainstream, his willingness to keep smiling and keep on going on should be applauded. In the face of all the adversity and ridicule, one man stands tall, stands strong, chest out, and with a smile. And I admire Audley.
pay me some cash and id be man enough to go in the ring wi these guys, it dont make me world class ffs
