Leonard Ellerbe should be a replacement @ HBO, I could see him being very articulate.

    Maybe when Merchant retires ofc, he's definitely going to soon enough. Then Leonard can take over.

    I'd rather hear Leonard commentate than Lampley/Merchant

    And as a 4th commentator (At times), I wanna see Leonard do it.

    These are the best options, that or Brian Kenny...besides Hershmen runs HBO now I would not be surprised if this occured in the near future.

    What the hell does Ellerbe know about boxing? He's not a boxing guy, he's Floyd's personal assistant. Might as well have Roger Mayweather on HBO talking about so and so is "aiight be he wouldn't be able to beat my nephew."

    What doesn't he know? Sure he's not a trainer and sure he was never a boxer but as an ADVISOR for Floyd for the past 16 years, he must have some great insight on the sport. In terms of boxing as a business and fighting in general. He must have picked up a lot of skills/ learned a lot from being in Mayweather's training camp for all those years.

    i'll be honest i dont even know who Leonard Ellerbe ism, i am sure i heared him talk before but i am bad with names...
