Who should replace Manny Steward on HBO?

    Hopkins would be good, so would Freddie Roach. I'd like someone who like Manny, does not overdo it with the commentary. Another good choice would be an unknown, but good trainer. There are plenty of guys out there who have been around, know the sport, but never got break. Give them one.

    I agree. The announcers on all channels are too much a part of event instead of letting us watch. An announcer who does not feel need to talk constantly would be nice

    Well if they use that criteria, there goes Teddy Atlas' chance to get the job. That motormouth ruins more boxing events for me than I care to think about.

    I think Freddie Roach is terrible. Part of it is probably the Parkinson's, but he just doesn't have much of interest to say.
