gamboa-rios was a stupid fight anyways, rios can't even make 135 anymore and he's picking on a 5'5 126lb guy

bam bam is 5'8 and walks around at 180lbs gtfo

and if he had beaten rios, he would be an instant star. besides, rios was severely drained at 135 and it could have worked to gamboa's advantage.

Gamboa is an idiot. Floyd is a bad influence and whispered some **** into Gamboa's ear that made him pull out of the fight.

Gamboa could have knocked Rios out and moved on to great things. Gamboa is close to 31 years old. He wasted a whole year of his prime because of Floyd's influence.

Gamboa is more legit that Rigo.

Among the cuban boxers, this is the fighter that I believe will go further ----if only he fights more frequently.

    i agree 100%

Gamboa is the truth. Rigo doesn't take well to getting hit back, even against the C level Marroquin. Gamboas a warrior with skill, speed, power and ridiculous athleticism. He's a special fighter the likes of which is totally noticeable the first time you see him fight, he's got that something that only Mayweather and Pac have shown in recent years. That special blend that you saw in RJJ, Tyson, SRL. I'm not comparing him to those guys but like them one fight is all it takes to see he is a special talent.

Gamboa being so good is the reason to be pissed at the decision he made. He could have blasted Rios and cleaned out 135. He was on his way to superstardom. Even a fight with Pac was a possibility if he kept moving up.

Really a shame that he's wasting his prime away.

Still ....... Rigondeaux is twice the boxer that Gamboa is , and yes Floyd ****ed up Gamboa's career in order to keep him away from Pac ( there were a LOT of rumours at the time about a Gamboa/Pac fight , about wich one punched the hardest , etc ) so the he ( Floyd ) could keep the hype about a supposed fight with Manny . This guy Floyd is a coward and one of the most overhyped boxers in history , his whole ****ing career has been extremely well manufactured , cherrypicking and ducking while shouting his mouth ( like Ali ) all the time so he can get publicity , the difference is that Ali wasn't a coward , Ali always fought the best while at their prime , this coward won't even fight
Pac for $100 mil . Go figure . Peace .

Yeah how about this super mega fight he was supposed to have within no-time after turning pro? I've been waiting for years. Talking about a never happening climax.
