:happy Well if that is true I think that is simply fantastic, why on earth are Boxnation not shouting these sort of figures from the rooftop?!

They will need to start letting some numbers out, because if they don't people will just speculate and assume the worst, as with this forum!

Matchroom are putting on good cards and selling them as great. Sky are putting their media machine behind them and that should result in these sort of numbers and more.

    Haye vs Chisora

    Burns vs Mitchell.

Where the two biggest fights of the year and Boxnation did that!

Even Price VS Harrison was bigger than most of match rooms gigs.

Would anyone really be surprised to hear that Haye-Chisora got 700k+ viewing figures?

    - Haye, other than Hatton now, is the most popular active boxer in this country.
    - He is fighting at heavyweight.
    - His previous four fights on PPV reportedly did at least 700,000 buyrates each.
    - Haye-Barrett, before he even crossed over to the mainstream with his fight vs Valuev, scored 172,000 views on Setanta.
    - His fight with Chisora was the most covered in this country since Mayweather-Hatton.
    - Chisora-Fury did 2.2m viewers on channel 5. He was hardly an unknown before the Vitali fight.

The only way it didn't do big numbers was if BoxNation failed to handle all the people trying to sign-up, but I didn't hear of any problems.

    :rofl :good

I know what he means though, it's easy now to think of the fight for what it was, one of the worst (if not the worst, and thats saying something!) heavyweight title fights of all time.

    But..........

It did get a massive amount of coverage pre-fight and it did generate a big amount of interest (more than Kell Brook and even Carl Froch I dare say), and although its wrong it did do huge numbers.

    God it was awful though.....................:-(
