I like Chisora and I think he's got potential. My worry is that he'll get pushed into too many hard fights too soon and that will hinder his long term progress. I think if he was allowed to progress, he'd develop into a top class pressure fighter but he had a limiter amateur career, few pro fights and yet he's already been in the ring with two world champions and two top prospects. I wouldn't be shocked if he starts to decline soon, well before he should have reached his peak as a fighter.

I wish him the best but if he was brought along like a typical Frank fighter, I think that'd be to his benefit. Pushing him into too many hard fights may be hos downfall.

No, I disagree with that completely. Chisora is still I think at least a good fighter when he trains properly. I wouldn't put him in the top 6 or 7 heavyweights but I'd probably put him in the top 10.

Look at his losses, he lost to Fury because he came in about 2 stone overweight. Even then, it wasn't like Fury nearly stopped him or anything. Tyson never hurt Chisora for the entire fight, he just won it on workrate because Chisora gassed because he was out of shape.

His "loss" to Helenius if you really want to call it that was one of the worst cases of a home-town decision in recent memory. Chisora ****ing battered him for the whole fight and won every round on my scorecard.

The loss to Vitali was a legitimate one but he gave Klitschko the best challenge for his title he'd ever had. In that fight Klitschko couldn't knock him out and had to really on his experience to see him through.

And the loss to Haye was emphatic but am I the only person who thought until the KO in the 5th Chisora was doing quite well? Wasn't winning the rounds but he was wearing Haye out and even managed to catch him a couple of times.

Chisora is good and entertaining both in and out of the ring, I think if he set his mind to it and trained probably then he could probably beat any heavyweight in the world apart from the Klitschkos, Haye and maybe David Price.

He just needs to rebuild, get a few confidence raising wins and then see if he can get himself another crack at a title.

    Evening PaulieMc,

I agree with pretty much all you have to say actually.

Yes I too think the Haye fight was more competitive then the result suggests, although I don't think Haye ever looked in any real danger of losing.

I certainly think he is a handful for anyone, certainly if the same fighter who faced Helenius and Klitschko turns up.

And although I'm not saying the result would be different second time round, I absolutely agree that if he was in proper shape a rematch with Fury would be quite a different matter.

All this talk of a Fury rematch going differently if Chisora was in shape is nonsense,Fury is in proper shape himself now,he'd beat Chisora again ... would love to see Chisora push Price though.

    Cheers. :)

I just think Chisora gets a bit too much stick. Everyone seems to think he's crap because he's lost some big fights but I think that's only what the casual fan thinks.

For a fan who watches and really studies a fight and fighters themselves you can see that Chisora is a good one. I agree with one of the comments that maybe he's had too many BIG fights back to back. He needs to fight some Euro/Fringe world-level fighters. He can beat those guys, build himself back up into contention and develop more.

I wish he and Fury would again, Fury's improved a lot since then and Chisora was a shadow (albeit, a very fat one) of himself in that fight. I think Chisora could get Fury early and hurt him. He's already proven that he can take Fury's punch, but can Fury take his?

There was a point in the fight .. think it could have been round 9,where Chisora went ape**** and hit Fury with about 15 flush punches .... had no effect,Chisora has pillow fists unfortunately. His technique is shockingly bad, wish he'd work on it.

Yes, love him or hate him even his biggest detractors have to admit that he can fight a bit.

I too would like to see him maybe have a bit of an 'easier' fight, get a win under his belt.

With regards to a Fury rematch it would be very intriguing, again only Chisora's biggest detractors will fail to admit that he was not on his best form in that fight; however I do think Fury has come on leaps and bounds since then, and he has developed more than Del Boy.

I'm not necessarily saying the result would be different, but I do think it would be a very different fight!

The natural fight for me is Pricey.

It would be a big one and stir up the inevitable comparisons with the Fury fight, the build-up would be great and I think the post fight 'words' from Fury would be pretty decent as well!

Chisora won't do anything because he doesn't dedicate himself fully to the task. He's to busy hanging around with the likes of those muppets Jordan and Alex Reid.

The chin was his strong point, its now been cracked. Chisora will be going down again and again and again.

He had all the tools, but was far to cool
All the gear, but no idea

I think he has a good chance against Povetkin but he needs to drop a level before stepping back up. Someone like Chagaev would be good for him.

People forget that Del's a decent fighter, he's only lost to the best (bar Fury) who personally if they fought again @ 100%, Chisora would smash, hopefully if not Fury then somebody on domestic level to get a win and go again next year!

Fury was badly out of shape when they faced each other also, don't forget.

He has already lost 4 times. Lost his last 4 out of 5 and the fight he won was against a journeyman.

He should fight a warm up and then try and get a rematch with Helanius in the new year.

Chisora won 12 rounds against Helenius. However, he got smoked by Fury (out of shape, whatever), lost 9 rounds to Vitali, and got blown out by Haye. Those are his last four relevant fights. Wilder, Fury, Mitchell, Povetkin, Solis... odds are I'm picking any of those guys against Chisora.
