Would you say he is somewhat of a prospect killer?

    Round 1

Mayfield stretches out his jab from a backward leaning crouch while taking lunging steps inside. Herrera bends over to his right while dropping his own jab down at Mayfield's face. Mayfield jabs into the gloves, and they clinch. A bit of infighting, with Wynn Kintz keeping a close eye and only interfering where he must as their arms get snarled. Mayfield taps Herrera with a left hook during a rare guard-down moment. Digs to the body by Mayfield as they tie up. Herrera is wrapping his arms around Mayfield's on the inside, trying to swallow him up. Both trade body shots up close. Mayfield jabs and steps back, just ducking under a Herrera jab before putting in a right to the chest. Lots of grappling in the final twenty seconds.

    10-9 Mayfield

During all his televised bouts, I've seen people getting carried away with projections for him (despite the opposition being poor) - and he's got a lot of undue shine for being a supposedly high-quality sparring partner for a lot of the sport's stars although in reality that doesn't count for too much. Kind of like Omar Henry and Shawn Porter.
