Ok People. Floyd Mayweather vs Pernell Whitaker at 135. My thoughts and yours.

    Going in I think a lot of people are going to expect a defensive strugule between Whitaker and Mayweather. However both are better offensive boxers than cridited for being.
    Whitaker has the advantage in being the better defensive boxer and pure boxer. Mayweather is the better counter puncher and adapter. He's also bigger than Whitaker.
    I do think this is going to be a more fun fight to watch than expectied. In the end I think Mayweather's abillity to adapt, his size and his more serious aproch. Whitaker has a tendency to clown around which could turn the judges off. Gives Mayweather the close win.

    Floyd is a poor man's Sweetpea:deal:deal:deal

    Pernell has way to much in all departments than Mayweather who has absolutly **** all in his arsenal to somehow overcome the pure majestic ability in offence & especially defence that Whitaker brings to the table. Floyd will look like his fighting in a ****in tar pit in comparison to Whitaker who'll take floydie to school BIG TIME:yep:deal:deal:deal

    Would be interesting to hear what he says but I'm sure it would have something to do with him winning.

    As far as thread, I'm on the fence. This is like a dream match to end all dream matches. With equal technical skills it really is impossible not to choose the guy with the greater speed and power so I would say Floyd wins one way or the other.

    But it really is a toss up.

    I would say Whitaker close competitive decision landing more while Floyd landing the harder punches.
