I think so too. Skelton will come to win this fight, and his come forward style will put him in harm's way. He'll be chopped down in the first, or perhaps the 2nd. The hammering (sorry) of Tom Oaktree Dallas flattered him a great deal IMO. He's still the same shot fighter that was whacked by Pianeta and Pulev.
Price is a big stiff idiot and i'll tell you another thing...he's gettin it. But not by Skelton. Price KO1
price hasnt had his heart tested, and it wont be tested in this fight either. but that said i can see it going a few rounds just because skelton will constantly tie him up and dirty box him. price has good power when given space, but chopping down that distance may show a weaker side to prices punching. skelton will tire in the mid rounds if he lasts that long and get sparked in the 7th or 8th.
The first minute of the first round. Skelton is closer to fifty years old than he is forty. FIFTY. YEARS. OLD. atsch
I actually think Price might want to get a couple of rounds under his belt with this one. Knocking people out in seconds is all well and good, but long-term he'll need experience of going longer. I could see him softening Skelton up for three, maybe taking him out in the 4th, but he really needs to start getting in with fighters who can at least test him a little. I'd stick him in with Chisora next; who might not be great but has proved himself to be sometimes durable, then maybe someone like Helenius.
Skelton looked so slow and terrible in his last fight, even if Price wants rounds it means he cant throw anythin because he can land so easily
If Price does this inside 4, he would have done very well. Skelton clearly has seen better days, and maybe it might all 'catch up with him' against Price. But I think it is more likely he messes around with Price for a few rounds, before going into survival mode. Skelton can cut up, so maybe there will be a unsatisfactory stoppage. But it would not shock me if Price hears the bell for the eighth round for the first time. That all said, I only see Skelton potentially delaying Price, I do not see him being competitive after the first few rounds.
I was the Price Vs Harrison fight and saw Skelton on the undercard. Thought he looked poor, was very sluggish and wasn't able to get more than 2 punches together. Price wins this within the first 2 rounds, no question at all.
Strange that you'd actually make a fight anyway if the potential opponent looked crap on the undercard.
