Cleverley and Gavin are the absolute stand outs for me...

Cleverley's best 'win' is Tony Bellew and that's debatable, and Tony would admit himself he's still making his way as a 'world class' fighter.

Gavin...dear me. Such a slow start to his pro career, for a world amateur champion to have only beat Woodhouse, an over the hill Mutley at this stage is very poor. Luckily he still has time.

David Haye. Still in his early 30's, plenty of mileage left in him, content to do absolutely nothing except sit on his arse and hope he can talk enough **** to get another payoff against one of the 2 guys about whose league he isn't in.

I see the case made for Haye but he hasn't had a bad career at all, that fact outweighs his inactivity, that's why I cant agree.

Haye could genuinely have become the 2nd best cruiser ever, and had a good run at HW.... chose not to.

I suppose the money was there and he took it.

I agree 100% his career could have been a hell of a lot better, I just feel that to be the no1 in any division is enough of an achievement for it to be a bit harsh to say he underachieved, I can see the argument for it though.

Fantastic shout on Maguire. Really looks/looked the business at times even against Ali he was beating him up in the first few rounds.

Roberts had potential and the speed attributes but none of the fighting heart

Watson well when he beat M Hatton in 08 who would have thought he was the one would go on to get stopped at British title first defence level and the other would go onto Euro and world opportunities.

John Watson solid ABA champion but again lost his way did well against Rees then got stopped by Crolla and beaten by Hamilton lost his way a little bit thought he would be British champ. There is still time but but needs to get some wins. Williams Woodhouse Anwar Theophane amongst others are lurking

Matthew Hatton looked like a complete and utter turd against Watson, and from memory both fights either side of that.

Fair play to him for sticking at it and making a decent fist of it in the last couple of years.

I'm surprised he's not thought about going for a Lonsdale outright, it's not beyond him.

Saw Rhys Roberts on the Brook/Jones bill, last fight of the night, fairly turgid affair. Seems too content to stay in Gear 1 throwing fast jabs, looking the part aesthetically but really nothing of substance and no killer instinct in terms of making a sustained effort to really outclass his opponent. Not that good mentally IMO.

Gavin is the obvious shout here!

I expected Ryan Aston to go fairly far in his career but after a defeat at area level.. think my expectations were wrong.
