In rounds 7 and 10 Dawson landed 0 punches on Ward - unprecedented?

    I remember reading that RJJ and Floyd Mayweather were the only boxers in Compubox history to have fought a round in which they were not hit once. Sadly, I dunno where I got that from and I'm not sure if it's genuine but going two full round without eating a single jab or power punch does sound very impressive. Has this ever happened before? Also, between two P4P boxers?

    Much less impressive when you realise that Dawson had pretty much stopped throwing punches in the first place by that point.

    Kell Brook vs Rafal Jackiewicz; in round 5 RJ didnt land a single punch

    I know the Roy Jones one was in his utter mismatch with Vinny Paz. I didn't know Floyd did it. I hadn't realized that Dawson landed 0 in the last 3 rounds....thats pretty terrible. Certainly unprecedented.

    Roy went a round with Vinny Paz without taking a punch. That was the first time it had happened since CompuBox had been tracking fights.

    I'm sorry, but on this board we've decided to not give Ward any credit for his performance in this fight. If you're a Calzaghe fan, the fight actually has a negative effect on Ward's resume.

    i decided as soon as dawson agreed to the weight, that ward would win and i wouldnt give him credit.

    ward was all smug that dawson agreed to all his terms, but i just thought, yeh that's fine, but don't get upset when people discredit your win.

    Dawson could not get off at all. theres no question the weight bothered him,
