All jokes aside. You are only as good as who you beat, and de Mori simply hasn't beaten anyone with a ranking, or even close to a ranking.

Sadly I guess he believed the hype again. Mark was based in the states at the time, sitting in his office have face to face meetings with DK and his staff, being promised this and that. Of course you want to believe it and no matter what you have heard that fact that people can outright lie to your face is still something thats hard to accept/believ for anyone.

Anyway what was done was done and hopefully if this Peters thing comes off, it will all be worth it. Just got to play the cards you now have and being locked into a contract, means he has one hand tied behind his back.

    More DK truth

Don King has been lying to people's faces and behind their backs since the 70's. That is what he is most famous for - screwing people.

It's all very well slagging off at King. But Mark signed with him TWICE I believe, and as recently March this year was still saying "signing with Don King was the highlight of his career to date".

From WA Today, March 2012 >>>

He signed with legendary promoter Don King in 2007, which he said was the highlight of his career to date.

Since then, he has taken a more relaxed approach to the sport.
"(People said in 2007) Don King wouldn't even know who you are, but I stuck at it and I fought with Don King twice in America, so my boxing goals are over, now it's just entertainment for me," he said.

"Now I can just stop, enjoy it, have fun and have no regrets. So I'm not one of those blokes at the bar with a big beer belly, drinking and telling you what they could have been."

I could find 100 Heavyweights to fight Mark in about 24hrs

Which he would agree to none.

Top 15 lets get real here.

If you sign a contract with Don King and don't have an external solicitor look at the particulars then you are a fool. Part of any promotional contract is requirements to promote (find fights for) the fighter - if he hasn't held up that part of the contract then get out of it. Please spare us the bull**** "I'm tied into a contract where I don't fight " story.

Oh no wait its much easier blaming King then actually fighting.

Sorry disregard above statement...Ive worked it out.

I don't understand your point? I could find 1000 guys that would want to fight Green for arguments sake, he would also not agree to any of them.

And you honestly think Mark trains day in day out and has dedicated his adult life to boxing thus far and doesnt want to fight? Really?

Bet you couldn't find 100 worse heavyweights than his last opponent Troy Weida.
