Ive always been a Foreman fan, but Ive really been getting
into Jersey Joe lately. What style Joe had! The footwork, defense,
body movement, feints, counters, speed, and power. Surely
a slick fighter whose style remains modern today. So what do
you think? Can Joe outmanuever and outsmart big George
and pepper him with counters en route to a UD or late stoppage?
Or is Big George too big, powerful, and relentless?

Jersey Joe might just be the spoiler.

Joe Wally is slick enough to keep away and score some points during the early half of the 10, 12 or 15 rounder but, by round 6, I see Foreman's power coming into play and wearing the ever moving Wally down enrooted to a TKO stoppage for Foreman......Wally at 6' and a solid 195 pounds just isn't gonna keep Foreman away for 10 rds or more...... Foreman comes from behind to stop Joe Wally.......

    Finess VS brute force.

Walcott would make Foreman miss a whole lot, but some would get through, and as the rounds would go by, those few punches landing would be too much.

I think brute force wins inside the distance late in the fight, between the 8th and the 11th.

I have always felt that Jersey Joe kinda had the style to frustrate george....I like him by a clear decision.

I love Walcott in this match up.....a prime Joe had a great pair of legs and could hit with either hand...he would have to be careful and slick early ( and he would) and with the thought of taking Big George into deep waters (which he could) Walcott had the slicks of Jimmy Young and in line with Ali and Tunney with his footwork but hit harder than both with either hand....Joe did not have killer instinct but he could KO a tired Foreman or drop Big George a few times on a way to a UD....I would bet strong on Walcott providing he was an underdog ....Walcott has the tools to do this

Walcott wasn't like Ezzard Charles. He takes a lot of risks, gambles too much, isn't textbook like Charles. I think Foreman would catch walcott at some point and knock him out. Foreman was one of the all time finishers, and walcott was prone to that. I think Walcott is ahead on point and makes foreman look silly at times.

Jersey Joe was a slick HW but he wouldn't see the final round vs. Foreman. Forman by KO! Too big, too strong, too durable. Foreman would have a 4" height advantage, a 6" reach advantage, and 20 more Lbs. of solid muscle.

Walcott definatley could beat George prime for prime he would dance around for 12 rounds or 15 and ultimatley beat Geroge i'm a huge fan of Foreman but Walcotts style and boxing ability would give him trouble like Jimmy young did.

Young Foreman was exposed as fighter who could not go more than 4 or 5 rounds without incredible drop in ability. Walcott was great boxer, he could combine moving and holding off Foreman till 6 or 7th round, then go for ko. Peralta almost did it, Ali and Jimmy Young did.

I agree with some sentiments here, Walcott will be leading and making George look a fool but will eventually get caught and then get finished. Walcott relied too much on split second timing and missing punches by a hair, something that would be okay against another boxer but against a slugger with power he'd never before felt it'll spell doom.

Walcott got VERY cocky at times, like against Marciano with his back against the rope he dropped him hands by his waist and let Marciano take a free swing, and against Louis he did his Walcott waltz with his hands down. He tempted fate a bit too much lol.

Walcott might pull this off if he keeps moving around and stuff but chances are, Foreman powers through him and knocks him out.

The different eras don't match up too well. Foreman is just too much. Can you imagine Foreman vs. Marciano? Marciano would not last 2 rounds.
