Check the polls and boxing experts opinions.

Ward heavy favourites over Dawson and Froch, and nearly even against Bute :deal

You know you actually tell the truth, buttards and some other delusional experts and posters here on ESB, said that Bute is more dangerous than Froch, but now after Froch beat the hell out of Bute, guys gotta admit they were all wrong

Froch is one of my favourite fighters so I respect the hell out of him obviously.

Pre-fight perceptions means a lot, which is why Froch deserves props for fighting all these guys he did, when Ward was hesistant.

You can do a lot with hindsight though which is usually agenda-driven, so it's easy to say "Bute had no chance against Ward" now with what happened with Froch, but again, Ward felt differently a while ago.

By who ? Bute tards ? How was Bute considered more dangerous when he has never fought on an elite level? And Dawson got beat up by Pascal really ? Did you actually watch that fight had it not been stopped due to the cut Jean was ready to go !! Bute was nothing more than a hype job with a high ranking since winning his strap in 07 !

I still think Ward didn't take the Bute fight because he knew at that time Bute would want an even split and he felt he was due a big payday.
Anyone who honestly believes that Ward was worried about losing to Bute and therefore ducked needs to go back to whatever sport they followed before the started following Lucien.

Butards accepted the fact that Bute was hyped the day after the loss but now they're back in full-confidence mode like nothing happened and Bute is the second coming from SRR.

What happened sinds the loss we don't know ? :think He grew a new magic goatee ?

So if Ward wasn't worried why not take the easy Big money Payday and take the fight and Bute's title?

I'm saying he would've probably been looking for a majority of the purse. At that stage,Bute was in a position to demand parity.
Come on TT.Take off your loyal glasses and look at this objectively. At that point,Ward was looking for the equivalent of Froch-Mack.Didn't turn out that way but let's look back to what he was suggesting after the S6.
I think he thought Bute was a bit more than he wanted at that time, but scared?

We'll see. He may also be remembered as a guy who came back after a bad knock out.
