I picked Trindad over De La Hoya, I know, I know, Trinidad got the decision, but De La Hoya dominated him minus the last 3 rounds. I actually bet my co-worker 50 dollars, and had all but conceded I would have to pay him, but when I heard the decision announced I almost did a back flip. And no I did not feel guilty about collecting on my bet!

I also picked De La Hoya to beat Pacquiao. This was the first fight that I actually took notice of how a Catchweight could affect a fighter, and every since I've never bet on fights that include catchweights. One of the more recent examples was Dawson vs. Ward (not to say ward was not the better fighter, but that was the worst performance I've seen from Dawson, and can't help but think the catchweight had a lot to do with it).

Pac TKO Marquez III and Pac TKO Timmeh

I also thought Chavez Jr - Martinez was a 50/50 match

    Marquez vs Pac 3
    Morales vs Maidana
    Chavez Jr vs Lee
Pac vs Bradley (I was expecting Pac to KO Bradley)

Not just one fight, but I picked Kessler to win the Super 6.

I thought Margarito would stop Cotto again in their rematch. I even bet £50 on Margarito inside the distance.

I thought Chisora would give Haye a lot more problems than he did. Really got a lot of egg on my face with that one.

Thought Hatton and Pac would be competitive.

Thought Pac would blow Marquez away in the third fight.

    Thought Kessler would beat Ward.

    Thought Margarito would beat Mosley.

Thought Williams would beat Martinez in the rematch.

Thought Pavlik would beat Hopkins. Thought Pascal would beat Hopkins clearly in rematch.

    etc...

Same here. I think a lot of us were in that boat.

    Old school:
    Hagler to TKO Leonard late
Tyson to beat Holyfield -- so glad I was wrong on this one.

    Recently:
I had money on Cotto over Pac mostly because I saw a pick 'em fight and I got 3.5:1.

How old are you Jeff? :think

I picked Abraham! It was weird, my mate was calling me nuts before the tournament, after the first fights he was in awe, and then by the end he was just laughing at me...

I had Cotto over Pacquaio too :verysad

I thought De La Hoya would give Pacquaio a pretty good beating. He'd fought Floyd evenly a year before, and I'd assumed he'd never have agreed to go to welterweight, as obviously as the star he didn't have to make concessions he didn't want to, unless he could still fight well at it. I was pretty wrong

I thought Haye-Chisora would be a boring Haye UD rather than an Audley Harrison-style "now!" laydown fix. Live and learn...

    I am 36, I'll be 37 in February.

Really, I had Pac/Cotto as 50/50, but if I'm getting good odds on my favorite fighter, then I'll make a small wager.
