I was amused by this thread. First it was tliang1000 with his ******ness of not understanding the thread and this funny post right here that took the cake and made me laugh.

But, I would say in Floyds case it was his acievements in holding that 0 and winning belts is what made him so great despite the lack of ATGs. Though I only consider Barerra to be in his prime when he fought Pac and Morales as in his semi-prime when he fought Pac from their he went downward. But yes, Marquez and Pac were in their prime when they first both fought each other and I also see that in the second fight.:bbb

People are pretty dumb on this thread.

The OP is saying Mayweather did not face any fighters in their prime who went on to be considered ATG.

It's true. Mayweather did not ever face a fighter in their prime who will be considered an ATG.
i.e Marquez, 37 years old when Mayweather fought him. Mayweather made him move up 2 weight classes pretty much. Marquez will be considered an ATG. By that time he was already considered an ATG anyways.

Mayweather's resume is good. He is an ATG, but there are many other fighters i.e Oscar De La Hoya, who has a greater resume, despite Mayweather having zero losses.
Oscar for example has fought greater opposition.

However, if at identical weights with Barrera, Morales, Hamed, Marquez in his prime, Tszyu and all of the other ATG's of this era...Mayweather may as well have them on his resume as we know he would beat them.

    :yep

What is funnier (and sad at the same time) is that these dumb mofos are so obstinate and incorrigible in their ******ation it's embarrassing.

...and what is it with *****ngs and the word "Fact" at the end of their disjointed, almost unintelligible sentences?

Floyd has been ONE fight away from shutting all his critics up (I'm a Floyd fan) but he just won't do it. One fight away from greatness.

People admire fighters who test themselves and provide the public with good, meaningful fights. You can't say Joe Cal, Ottke, or Mayweather fit that profile.

Fighters like SRL, ODLH, Cotto, and Pac will always be more loved by the general public because they put themselves at risk of a loss and excited the crowds.
