Messed up 1990 Tyson almost KOd his ass, it's a no-brainer.

    'Buster' wouldn't have a chance...
That KD in the 8th would have happened in the early rounds and Tyson would be all over his ass.

The terrible unprepared version of Tyson of 1990 almost knocked Douglas out despite defending punches with his face all night, I think anything other than a convincing 1987 Tyson KO victory would be a borderline miracle.

Buster got knocked down because he was starting to overestimate himself, you can clearly see he punches the ground in anger when he hit the canvas.

Why would Buster make that same mistake against a better Tyson? I don't think Tyson would "allow" buster to make that same mistake.

But Buster his style was a very effective counter against Tyson his style.

Buster's Jab that night was great.

  8. Tyson almost had him finished in 1990 despite having abused drugs and slacked off in training. 1987 Tyson would have bulldozed Buster in 3 rounds.

A Prime Time it´s no use without training. Tysons only training for the Douglas Fight was banging Japanese Chicks!

Yup, Buster game plan in general was on point that night, whether he had won or not.....He was able to jab and circle Tyson, and Tyson always put some bounce to his feet whenever he was trying to set up a big punch, Buster was able to see and time that and back off when Tyson did that and when he laid enough punishment on Tyson he was able to push Tyson to the ropes and smother Tyson power and clinch to wear him down.

Tyson losing was not just due to being unfocused, Buster came with a great game plan and was able to execute it, and him having the physical dimensions such 12 inch reach advantage and height advantage helped as well.

Tyson sure looked better in the 1987 clips. Of couse, he was fighting older, smaller, slower men in those clips. Mike looked bad after the first because Douglas was humming his brain with constant punches. Mike was what, 24? He was past his prime? You Tyson fans were wrong about the man being invincible. Quit making excuses. its ok to admit you were wrong. Mikes dominance stopped when better heavyweights came along. End of story.

So 2 lbs heavier than the Spinks fight is totally shot now?

Also Buster contracted the flu the day before the fight... there are no excuses for Tyson.
Buster was the better man that night.
