yaay, my threadss been bumped :)

The point of this thread is not beating a prime ATG.

I'm just asking has there been a fighter in history at floyds level who has fought in as many weightclasses, but never had to face a prime ATG.

I'm not saying floyd neccesarily avoided anyone in particular. I'm just saying are there any other examples.

You are basing it off of your opinion and using your opinion to discredit a fighter. Fact is he always faced the #1,2, or 3 guy each time out since he became a champ back at 130 and up.

What is a more impressive/career defining win?

    06 - Baldimore - Margarito - Williams - Mosley at 147

    12 - Cotto or Marinez at 154

I'm not questioning why he made the fight with who did, i'm just using an example of how just cost your fighint the number one guy. don't mean its the toughest more career defining fight available

    we're going round in circles.

The number one person in any sport, let alone boxing which is more subjective than most, isn't neccesarily the best.

In 06 Mosley turned down a fight with Mayweather. That is a fact and you know that, right?

Floyd and even Arum himself said that Floyd would have taken the fight with Margo but Floyd wanted Arum to guarantee him big money for Hatton, Cotto, and 20 million for Oscar and Arum said no so Floyd bought out his contract. Floyd signed to fight the number 1 guy at the time which was Judah. Judah lost to Baldomire and Floyd went and beat Judah, the former #1 guy and the guy who beat him which was Baldomire. And didn't Margo get his ass beat by Williams? LMAO

i'm not getting into why these fights didn't happen. and i appreciate floyd was very avoided and there were tv conflicts and other issues.

The only ones i can see are Kosta at 140. Manny in 08. Maybe Mosley earlier on. Maybe Martinez now (although we don't know for sure if he'll be an ATG - I personally doubt it)

But thats it really. I agree he hasn't had many chances
