my nukka. can't wait to see him back, he's wasting precious time for a dude that's already started late as a pro.

 

perfect tune up to shake off some rust and get some rounds vs a tough dude that he likely won't get upset by before tackling the big dogs again, smart move.

 

:huh....Gamboa has been moving that needle slowly...he has NOT faced any "big dog"...so to speak. Gamboa has been progressing slow and steady by his handlers.

His late start means he has more to lose, faster....if he doesn't make all the right moves this late in the game. There are still a lot of unknowns about Gamboa and how much he can handle, right now.

He will eventually have to step up to the level that is expected but for now he can't afford to make a mistake.....which is the same thing we've seen in the other hot Cuban blue chip contender, Rig.

Both just need to stay active....feasting on the opponents they line up for them. It will keep them Sharp, in "fighting shape", build up their record and most importantly increases their exposure to make them into a household name in boxing.

It's just not happening becuase they simply aren't active enough.....you can't shelf fighters this talented and this late in the game and not expect the kind of results we see thus far in both men's careers.....but they haven't lost! So they can turn things around for both of these guys going forward.
