    Easier said than done.

If Khan could do all that, then he wouldn't be Khan. But he doesn't have good instincts or ring IQ.

Hunter may improve him somewhat, but don't expect some big change, when a guy has the large number of flaws that Khan has.

Khan blew away Salita and KO'd Judah and floored Petersen twice and probably started believing he had more power than he did

should go back to trying to be on the outside

his big problem vs Petersen was he couldnt keep him off, he couldnt fight a full 3 minutes of every round

vs Garcia he left himself open and got nailed and then in a heart filled way traded when hurt the next round and it cost him

    how?

    Did he make khan brawl.

Khan is an idiot, he is going to fail brawling, you have to fight to your attributes, imagine rios, Hatton trying to fight from the outside - it wont work, same way khan doesn't have the power head movement or the chin to brawl.

His chin is good enough to make him into a champ, as long as he boxes.

Khan is no boxer either he doesn't have the mental strength to adhere to a gameplan once he gets hit hard.

Virgill Hunter is not some mythical trainer.

His fighters tend to be in great shape, but Khan never had a problem with his physical conditioning, just look at Seth Mitchells last fight with Chazz Witherspoon, do you guys know who was in Chazz's corner? OK THEN.

    Pretty much.

All these years he could have been harnessing a game that's more suited to his attributes, but instead he's deluded himself into thinking he's a puncher with a point to prove. I saw his development hitting the ceiling in the Maidana fight. Done some foolish things that night that made me begin to doubt he'll ever develop into the boxer he was supposed to be.

he uses his jab like mosley, Mosley got away with it (apart from 154) because he had power, He needs to realise how great his jab can be, he has a fast powerful accurate jab - It could be one of the Best P4P jabs - if he respected it, instead of using it as a range finder for his 'dynamite' right hand

I remember when he was coming off the Kotelnik and Malignaggi wins, people here were mentioning his jab as potentially becoming one of the best jabs in the game.

No one talks about it anymore. And that's his fault. He's reduced its use to just a punch that sets up his predictable flurries.

I bet you Chazz Witherspoon was supposed to box Seth Mitchell, and he ended up in a dog fight and got caught up with Seth's big power.

My guess is Khan will revert to trading once someone hits that chin of his, and he'll be put out like a stray cat.

I think people don't give Khan enough credit. He knows he needs to be more patient and box more, and he knows he needs to improve defensively. The problem isn't whether he can learn these things- Khan seems to be a pretty good student/eager to learn- but whether he can adhere to them in the ring when the going gets tough. I think Hunter will make a lot of subtle but important changes to Khan's game, and it's going to be interesting to see what happens when he goes up against top tier competition once more.

Why would he learn now after he failed to do so after both Maidana and Peterson whooped on him like he was some sort of chump?
