boxing is Dying in Mexico and USA

    I think its still a very popular sport with the 25 and above popluation, but these young kids in Mexico want to be the next 100 caras and UFC is shown for free in mexico, bet you did not know that???

    Where i live there is no boxing gyms and it sucks

    Your a ****** to think that boxing will continue to flourish in mexico or USA if they ar not boxing gyms to learn the art.

    MMA (schools) are opening and Boxing gyms are closing.

    Were will teh learn the ****ing trade ****?

    Well there are a lot more boxing gyms in RI now than there was 20 years ago. Boxing isn't going anywhere and there is no proof it is. This is backed up by the fact the US and Mexico have more top 10 fighters than any other country. So I ask you, considering there are more countries involved in pro boxing than ever before, where is the falloff?

    A cousin of mine made a pit stop at my place on his way to LA, coming from Torreon, Coahuila Mexico. But he spends a lot of time in Monterey as well, anyways. We started talking about the Mijares vs Marquez fight and eventually got into the topic of MMA in Mexico.

    According to him the problem with these MMA gyms down there is that they are charging too much and tend to cater to the upper class. But real Mexican fighters are of the working class with very few exception ( Marco Antonio Barrera ). Many of these gyms have closed up as quick as the opened up due lack of clientele.
