I'm pretty sure Emmanual don't rank Leonard in the top 10 because he feels Hearns handily beat the **** out of Leonard the majority of combined rounds. (No Tommy in the top 10... No SRL)
He has the same top 4 as me but wtf Manny was thinking putting pacquiao & Foreman over Duran only God knows.
Like I said earlier I really think these are his favorite fighters ...I mean as much of an impact he had on Hearns he didn't rank him either ..His lists come from his personal experiences .

What's MUCH more concerning than having Pacquiao #9 is having George Foreman #7. I'm a massive Floyd fan, but i rank Pacquiao top 20 of all time so top 10 isn't too bad, although a bit of a stretch imo. Duran should be above him and George though for sure. No love for Greb, Charles, Jofre, Leonard (both of them)?
i don't know his criteria for ranking foreman that high but must be longevity. but one thing sure is that steward puts a premium to resune and thise who are willing to fight the best on a consistent basis.
Langford ahead of Johnson? Hagler isn't bad in the top 10, but I'd rank Monzon ahead all time and, obviously, at MW. Foreman belongs nowhere near the top 10, and George is my boy. I rank Pac top 20 all time, but 10 does seem a bit high. Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore are glaring omissions from the list...

I know that Moorer was one of the fiercest Light-heavys of recent years, but i never knew he won a belt at 135 aswell. He's clearly a bit better than i first thought.
George actually did that fairly sparingly. It was part of the reason he was an underdog going in against Joe Frazier. He gets massive credit for completely dismantling him inside of two rounds when he was undisputed champ and undefeated, similarly destroying Ken Norton and winning the title back 20 years after losing it to Muhammad Ali. His resume in terms of beating rated heavyweight contenders has little depth.
^ So depending on how high you rate those wins and that achievement, Foreman could be anywhere from 3rd to 10th. On a Heavyweight ATG list.
We love Manny. Manny Steward, that is. His ATG great list is questionable. But that's ok. It's a lot like seeing my dad get drunk only to make an ass out of himself. The next day I tell him I still love him and everything is just peachy.
sorry, i was pretty occupied with another thread. yup i can agree that it lacks a depth but his resume of opposition on the top level is grade A. frazier two times, ken norton, muhammad ali, holyfield and moorer. it must be his longevity and his top wins over frazier, norton and moorer when he was almost 46 years old.
