Ward/Pavlik is Probably Off And Back On!

    All good points. But, money was not the only problem with the Bute fight. Kelly was drinking alot, he was pissed at Leow for taking 15% of his money, he was pissed at Leow for putting his kid on the payroll, he was pissed at Duncan over that cutman in the Martinez fight, et, et. Lot's of **** went on behind the scenes.

    600K??:nut:nut KP will get 7 figures if he fights Ward. If I was in the driver's seat, I'd advise Pav to go fight Rodriquez or Groves if he can't get that.

    Only hindsight made it a joke though, Dawson talked like he could make weight easy and still be 100%. What was Ward meant to do about Dawson lying?

    I'm kind of relieved because I really like both fighters and don't have to watch Kelly suffer another setback.

    That said, this is the best payday on the table for either guy, so something tells me it might still happen.

    Nice informative thread BTW. Thanks for the Info on Pavlik Boo.

    Regarding purse I dont think there's any chance whatsoever of KP getting more than Dawson and he would get even less if the fight was in neutral territory. I cannot see Pavlik having more leverage in negotiations than Dawson had.

    Dawson has a **** promoter and no fan base. Chad will never be PPV cuz his promoter sucks off the TV money teat and doesn't care about anything else. Pavlik has a real promoter.

    Would a fight between Pavlik and Ward generate more revenue than the Dawson fight? That would be the key, because there's no way, IMO, that Pavlik gets a better split than Dawson.

    What say you?
