So? Ward is a natural born fighter and would be a world champion if he'd worked with any competent trainer. He's strong, quick and has great stamina. Hunter is the flavour of the month right now, just like Cunningham was a while, but he's fundamentally flawed as a trainer. Having one gem does not make him a good trainer. His methods are flawed.

If anything he should be studying Hearns, same attributes. Reach, height, speed, good right hand and both had susceptible chins Khan more so than Hearns.

SRL and SRL could take a punch, which allowed them to not have to run constantly through the fight, which I think Khan will have to do. Look at his record with punchers who landed flush on him, Precott, Maidana nearly had him in the 12th round, Garcia, even Peterson had him in trouble too.

Khan has similar problem to Frank Bruno, he doesn't react well to getting hit, you look at his face after a KD and he finds it very hard to recover, he looks lost, looking around like he wants out, either holding on, off balance or going all out punching back.

He needs to fight off that range and be satisfied with clear UD wins.

 

There's been quite a few things but one which stands out is his view on modern nutrition. He insulted Ariza and mentioned that modern nutrition methods don't improve fighters, which is crazy. Like I said, he's a conman who got lucky with Ward.

Great post. I completely agree with this.

 

Despite the fact that Khan has enourmous grouth potential, he has such an idea of himself like this one... studing the tapes of Sugar Ray and Ray Leonard like he had the ability to flurry and move smoothly like those guys. The biggest problem with Khan is not his chin but is his ego.
