Most exciting British fighters right now?

Khan deffo tops the list imo. Its a split with him and haye for number 1

Haye has been in boring fights since he moved upto HW, the only decent fights he's been in at the weight are with guys of similar size to him.

 

Khan is very exciting to watch, because even when he's winning a fight convincingly there's always the thought in the back of your mind that he's about to get knocked out. Maidana, Peterson and Garcia all had that feeling.

Froch to me is the opposite. Even when he's being beaten or in a close fight you get that feeling it can all turn around soon because of his incredible will and the fact that he's done it before and can does bang a bit.

I think Fury is similar to khan of late as well, where he looks shaky defensively and likes a tare up.

For me that's why guys like Wlad and Ward aren't as good to watch as they could be because they're actually too good and it's too one sided. As good as they are, they don't get me going like they probably should.

 

Ye well thats not really his fault. The hw division is dominated by tall boring technical robots, but when he gets in with someone who wants to fight its entertaining. He even made hugger ruiz fight fun!

 

Gamboa is the most exciting fighter in the world for me. Its a shame bout his situation because hes near 30 and i think his assets will be on the decline.

 

Haye was the one that ran from Valuev and Wlad, not the other way 'round and trew no more as 11 punches a round.
And he was also the one on the backfoot against shot hugger Ruiz. The Ruiz fight was wachable because he walked right in Haye's counters and just kept coming after him.

The Chisora fight was fun to watch, because he finally didn't run and trew more shots in those 5 rounds as all his HW fights combined.

 

Froch, Hatton, Price.

Price is a funny one. You know it's going to be over in 7 minutes. David 'No time to make a Brew' Price.

 

Definitely Khan for me, likes to go to war and suspect chin usually makes for great fights. Froch obviously as well, Price is exciting cos of how awesome his power looks. Surprised some people have said Bellew, I think the more his competition steps up, the more he will box and be less entertaining to watch.

 

Wlad fought like a coward against haye.

 

Gamboa's overrated in terms of how exciting he is.

Against the likes of PDL and Salido he was boring as ****.

 

Froch for all-out action: work-rate, the sense nothing's been left in the gym.

Khan for edge-of-the-seat suspense "will he avoid being caught", "has he learned to avoid a brawl"?

Fury for entertaining interviews and unpredictability - will it be a composed, disciplined performance, or will he get knocked down by a pillow-fist / punch himself in the face.

Honourable mentions to Gavin Rees and Jamie McDonnell who always seem to enliven an undercard.

 

Surprised to see I'm the only one to say Sykes so far.

Crolla I, Morris, Johanneson and Buckland II were all domestic FOTY contenders.

Hard to pick 3, people are exciting for different reasons. I'd say Froch, Afolabi and Khan. Khan always has people on the edge of their seat, regardless of whether your rooting for him or not!
