I actually think a style Amir should watch is Thomas Hearns. He does not have Tommy's power or boxing skill, but he does have speed. Tommy used to pick guys apart with his jab and go up and down as Barkley said "Tommy was picking me up and down". But doing that keeps guys thinking about the jab, and the fast guys like Amir can work that well and then land the right or start working on the body slowly. Also, another one of the greatest fighters I thought was Genaro Hernandez. He was a beautiful fighter to watch. I saw him fight on the undercard of Hearns/Morton at the Forum when I lived in Los Angeles area. I didn't know who he was, but I told my friend, wow look this guy. He made boxing an art. He was so economical and smooth and avoided punches in such a natural way. That is the kind of fighter Amir should watch. Someone who fought the style which was perfect for him and if the knockout came it came, but you never saw Genaro walk into a left hook and brawl because he could. Genaro did knock some guys out, but they came slowly and after Genaro broke them down

Good points, but I don`t think Khan has Hearns concussive power to truly match how hearns does his thing. Hearns was a silky smooth boxer puncher, great skills. Agreed that Khan gest carried away with tryin to fight a guys fight and bomb him out of there...He has to learn to fight to his advantages, and protect that chin !

The statement he said on TV didn't sound whiny or egotistical. He said that with Roach Parkinson's, he should take on too much, ie Chavez, Pac, himself hence why it was part of the reason he left.

Khan is a cool guy and a very exciting fighter, dunno why the hate.

He didn't say it in a disrespectful way, maybe if he was a bit more clever he'd realise it probably wasn't the best thing to say, though.

Khan doesn't put much thoughts behind his words. He certainly has a screw loose.

He never said anything of the sort. I can't find anything in that article where he's blaming Freddie's illness.

Only he doesn't, he clearly blames himself, and even clarified as much in his tweets (I've highlighted it in big letters for you, thank me later). Do any of you people even know how to ****ing read?

I swear most of you just assume **** about Khan and then jump to insanely negative conclusions without taking what he actually says into context. Khan may not be the smartest guy in the world, and he may say some very stupid **** sometimes, but he's nowhere near as arrogant as some of you make out.

Should shut the thread really, very unpleasant thing to be accused of and blatantly not what's been said

Honestly, you have to wonder about this place sometimes. They actually don't bother reading the articles/quotes they're commenting on. :patsch
