Kimbo Slice. No explanation needed. Young Wladimir Klitschko had full hype machine behind him before he knew how to defend himself. Micheal Grant was the same thing. Joe Calzagie's resume makes him seem pretty over-rated IMO.
Pacquiao. Catchweights, fights fighters not in their primes. Yet has everyone rating him @ #2 p4p. His resume south of 135 was great but north of 135- biggest joke in the history of joking. I'd take Sven Ottke's resume over Pac's over 135.
floyd easily. avoids fighting guys who r threats to him padding his record with guys he can beat. he needs pacquiao bad. but, now it is too late
Trolls There is a reason why there was so much hype for them to fight If you can't recognise a fighters brilliance just because you dislike them, it means you are ignorant.
So basically you're admitting that Floyd is one of the best boxers in the world thus meaning you realise he is both underrated and overrated at the same time by different fans of the sport? :huh
u said it, not me. overrated because he doesnt face the best comp out there. what hes doing aint no different than what bute has done. hes just protecting his "0", that is it. while idiot fans say hes the best when he doesnt fight the best. i can go around fighting guys i can beat and say im the best. doesnt mean u have to believe me. guys make careers doing it. just look at calzaghe
For awhile, Amir Khan. You had a lot of people talking about his "great skills", how his only weakness was his chin, "look at his speed", blah blah.....Larry Merchant was like "it's the skill of Khan and will of Peterson". No, Khan is not that skilled for a world class fighter. He is fast and has good range. After Peterson and Garcia, it's gone down a bit. But he is probably the best example of how people overrate speed and fail to look at the many other aspects of boxing. Keep in mind, I'm trying to look at it "in general", as all fighters are overrated and underrated by some.
