    mark johnson .

he's considered by some as an ATG flyweight, when all he did at 112 was win a vacant belt and defend it against bunch of nobodies ( ibf mandatory challengers )

Naseem Hamed. Never beat anything close to a great fighter, was technically deficient with a horrible boxing IQ and was embarrassed by far and away the best fighter he ever fought(even though MAB had already been stopped by Junior Jones at a lighter weight). Despite all this, his fans swear he's one of the greatest feathers ever.Uh oh, here comes the shitstorm.HAMED FAN ALERT.

Hamed is definitely way too overrated based on resume and ability. Surely very entertaining and good but not in the level the majority of his fans place him in. He's HOF for sure in my opinion but not ATG and not close.

Because he won all his fights, right? ******s like you would pick anyone he fights over him till he loses, then you will claim he finally met someone good! Even though whoever that "good" fighter is, you would have picked Mayweather over him claiming it's another joke fight. Clowns like you are all over really, as typical as flies around a steaming pile of ****. Remember, if you existed, when RJJ was fighting "joke opponents" according to many only to finally fight a solid contender in Tarver? Surely you were one of those theorists.

Joe Calzaghe's resume underrates him. He was capable of achieving a lot more than he did.

Devon Alexander. He's improved, but I had no idea what people were thinking when they claimed he was going to conquer the division and beat Bradley.

    Co sign :good

Zab Judah is on my list. I don't think he's a bad fighter, he is and was very good, but people pro-claiming he had the talent to of been one of the very best ever? No.

Judah's career has mirrored his talent.

Chris John and to a lesser extent,Ivan Calderon are two who spring to mind, but there are far worse.
Bute was for a while and Povetkin is another plodder who seems to land on his feet.
On phone right now but would like to expand on this thread later.Has good potential here, unlike some of the fighters.

Kid was overhyped like crazy. I remember when the fight with Darchinyan was announced.I was thinking OH YEAH! the hype train is going to derail big time.

Both overrated or underrated have become almost useless words on ESB. Some guys get both criminally under/overrated at the same time. And others just think guys they hate are overrated. So **** me if I cannot, for the life or me, get what makes a fighter over/underrated anymore. But with that said, Baby Joe Mesi got a LOT of exposure in the HW division, called the Great white Hope (the kiss of death). I didn't he was anything more then a good fighter that makes for entertaining bouts.
