Which November fight are you most looking forward to?

  1. 1. sorry buddy, Demarco is currently ranked #1 in the division
Nope- you probably find as many places (if not more) that have Vazquez ranked above Demarco. Demarco is ranked first by many because he upset Jorge Linares- a fight he was losing handly.

    2. "when you beat the king, u become king overnight."
So I take it you ranked Sonny Boy Jaro above Viloria and Marquez after his upset of Wongjongkam :thinkor you rank Mario Rodriguez number 1 at Strawweight above Ioka because he beat Joyi

    3. "Vasquez is nothing special. a fighter of his caliber will never be recognized as #1 no matter what he does."
Many recognise him as number 1 now and I can pretty much guarantee if it was him Broner was fighting and not DeMarco then all the Broner fans would be playing up the accomplishments of MV and playing down the accomplishments of DeMarco

    4. "let him fight a live body then we can talk."
Your clearly too loved up with Broner to speak the truth. The only people Vazquez has lost too are Alvarez (an SD loss on his debut) and Tim Bradley. He beat Prescott when he was undefeated, won his title against Ji Hoon Kim, beat Ricardo Dominguez, Ammeth Diaz and Lenny Zappa- this all makes for a better resume than Broner currently has (his best wins being over a coked up Eloy Perez or a win that could've quite easily been a loss over Ponce) even if he beats DeMarco.

    5. LOL @ Burns and Abril-
One sided wins over Katsidis, Moses and Mitchell (all top 10 fighters when he fought them) >>>>> 1 win at lightweight against DeMarco (if he wins)

Win over Rios (and don't say he lost because you'll sound more ******ed than those who say Pacquiao lost to Bradley) >>>>> win over DeMarco (if he wins)

Funnily enough most people rank DeMarco number 1, I think the guy Elliot in post 8 on this thread sums you up:

Abril arguably beat Rios, and Rios was ranked number 1 at lightweight. I think he shold be number 1 based on that.

Not much seperates Burns, DeMarco and Vasquez resume wise so it isn't hard to see why some would rank Burns or Vasquez ahead of DeMarco.

:patsch when we talk about P4P and who should be ranked #1, we ARE NOT discussing a fighters whole career. when it comes to rankings, you're as good as your last couple of fights. you're judged by your recent opposition and the WAY you have beaten your opponents. question: Who were Vasquez last three opponents??? answer it please. no way in hell should a mother****er be at #1 from defending your titles against nobodies. now, TELL ME that Attah and Quintero are on the same level as Linares and Molina. are you trying to convince me, or yourself that Vasquez is #1 or the best fighter in the division? Demarco has earned his spot, like it or not.

and yes, i stand by my statement, You beat the #1 fighter in your division, convincingly, you are the king of the division. that's how it works until the guy gets knocked off by the next man. and don't you dare bring up Burns beating Mitchell ever again. :rofl:rofl

 ok. i can see why some would choose to put Vasquez over Demarco based on his streak and history in the division.

Mitchell was ranked 5 by Ring Magazine, but what about Abril arguably beat the number 1 fighter, shouldn't he ranked number 1?
