This is essentially if both fighters retired right now and never fought, who has the better resume? Or, who would you rank higher "all time?"

This is not who would be the better win in 2013, as many caught up in Geale/Golovkin will vote.

Now, please be consistent. I've heard more arguments stating that amateur pedigree is completely irrelevant, that being undefeated means literally nothing, and that losing to great fighters boosts your stock more than never having faced them. Those people, the majority it seems, would have to pick Mundine here, right? Lets see...

    Most notable fights:

    Gennady Golovkin, 24-0 KO 21
    07- W UD8 Mehdi Bouadla (11-1)
    08- W UD8 Ian Gardner (20-3)
    10- W KO1 Milton Nunez (21-1-1)
    11- W TKO10 Kassim Ouma (27-7-1)
    11- W KO1 Lajuan Simon (23-3-2)
    12- W TKO5 Grzegorz Proksa (28-1)

    Anthony Mundine, 44-4 KO 26
    01- W SD12 Sam Soliman (12-6)
    01- L KO10 Sven Ottke (24-0)
    03- W UD12 Antwun Echols (29-4-1)
    04- L SD12 Manny Siaca (17-4)
    05- L UD12 Mikkel Kessler (35-0)
    06- W UD12 Danny Green (21-2)
    07- W KO9 Sam Soliman II (33-8.)
    08- W UD12 Sam Soliman III (35-10)
    09- W SD12 Daniel Geale (21-0)
    10- L KO5 Garth Wood (9-1-1)
    11- W UD10 Garth Wood II (10-1-1)
    11- W UD12 Rigoberto Alvarez (27-3)

Who do you think and why?

Mundine without a doubt, but that's because GGG has been avoided by the top players at MW

If the Oosthuizen fight gets finalized, that'll be something to look forward to...

According to Dan at espn, a catchweight of 165 is most likely...

Apparently Oosthuizen turned down a 164 catchweight fight with Golovkin earlier this year. Hopefully this gets done. I'd prefer Golovkin stay at 160, but hey, if he wants to take on a top 5 SMW, by all means...

In what way? That it is obviously Golovkin or obviously Mundine?

Because, from what I hear about people when talking about these two fighters and overall "All Time Greatness," this example will make people wonder to themselves if they are actually consistent in what they say... I think it's a legit thread and expect both answers...

The only way to compare careers is when both have completed them. Daniel Geale will more than likely end Mundine's career in January. Golovkin will be racking up titles over the next couple of years and make a comparison between these two chalk and cheese.

Golovkin would be viewed as an unstoppable force if he retired now..
Bumdines only remotely decent wins are Green and Geale. Proksa was a better win than wimp Geale imo. Ouma, Simon, Tapia, Bouadla, Gardner are better than Soilman, Echols, Alvarez..
with Mundine cowardly ducking out of fighting Golovkin some years ago when he refused to sign the contract after a purse bid was being held and admitted that he would have had no chance whatsoever anyway, Golovkin is the obvious choice here

Interesting. I was expecting more of this.

I myself see no argument. Mundine has the clear better resume should both retire today. With the better victories. And no, Proksa comes nowhere close to Green or Geale (even if Geale fight was close/controversial). And no, the rest of his ten best wins don't compare to Mundine's either.

Agenda driven opinions only would say Golovkin, I do believe.

This is about their career. Nothing to do with how good of a win beating either would be in 2013...
