Britain's surely had their share of wonderful practitioners of the sweet science, who do you think is the greatest of them all?

Let's put together a top-10, here's some names. (In no order.)

    Randy Turpin
    Howard Winstone
    Joe Calzaghe
    Ricky Hatton
    Feddie Mills
    Duke McKenzie
    Tommy Farr
    Chris Eubank
    Nigel Benn
    Ken Buchanan
    Ted 'Kid' Lewis
    Frank Bruno
    John Conteh
    Lloyd Honeyghan
    Lennox Lewis
    'Kid' Berg
    Jimmy Wilde
    Naseem Hamed

    My quick top-10 (for now)

    1. Jimmy Wilde
    2. Ted 'Kid' Lewis
    3. Jackie 'Kid' Berg
    4. Lennox Lewis
    5. Joe Calzaghe
    6. Ken Buchanan
    7. Randy Turpin
    8. Naseem Hamed
    9. Ricky Hatton
    10. Howard Winstone

I was debating Hatton, Conteh, Winstone, Eubank, and Nenn for the final 2 spots. Wasn't easy -- but I didn't spend too much time on it, I was hoping for a lot of East Side input.

Care to make your case for Conteh?

Care to make your case for Hatton,

top ten, all time......really (on beating a faded Tszyu, scraping past a limited Colazo and making a historic 15 deffences of his wbu title)

Don't get me wrong he was a good fighter, but not "all time British top 10" good.

Almost impossible to compare fighters you've never seen and there is scant footage of. Some great, great names there none the less.

I suppose Mayweather and Pacquio's success clouds my mindset a bit? Mayweather said Hatton was his toughest opponent.

And in an era ruled by welterweights -- he was probably number 3, behind them two.

At least for me, his resume doesn't come close to being capable of making the slightest case for even a top-20 list.

I'm surprised to see Calzaghe so high in so many top 10's.

His record is particularly poor, compared to others.

He only beat about five decent fighters.

It always baffles me, he is the definitive Frank W fighter.
