sorry but Bute should decline the rematch with Froch , period !

funny how guys like John Ruiz who fights David Haye is a worthy challenger who has 8 losses. A guy like Yusaf Mack who has been knocked out in his last 2 legit fights and is in a different division all together is a "good opponent" for froch. ODLH was a "worthy opponent for floyd having lost 2 of his last 4. but a guy like Bute who has 1 loss, is a "RUINED" fighter. atsch love the moron mentality here

 

I see it this way , yes i'm an harcore Bute fan but i'm a even bigger fan of boxing. I won't stop loving it after Bute's career even if it finish in a bad way. You know it could be a lot worst , i could be an armenian and be stuck with AA

 

Badlok, since Zuniga/Andrade 2, I can't recall seeing Bute throwing combos. Something changed in Andrade 2 when Bute's hook and uppercut closed the show. He fell in love with the moneyshot and forgot the boxing. Really worrying that he hasn't gone back to that after Froch, no? This was supposed to be the fight in which Bute, jabs, throws combos and moves. He didn't. Why? Surely not because Grachev was too good to allow him to do that...

 

Even Larouche was **** off about this , he gave Bute a 6 /10 note for that fight , he didn't stop to tell him to let his hand goes. I can't say what is on Bute's mind but i would love to know it!

 

No he wouldn't. Bute's defense is horrible, the Froch fight just exposed his bad defense. Either he would win a wide decision over Grachev or Grachev would've stopped him.

 

I'd also like to think there are Bute fans who know certain comments of mine have no bearing on them whatsoever.There are good fans who came into the game because of Bute,and for me that's not a bad legacy to leave behind.

I just don't like to see good fans being let down,but on the flipside,it's nice to see others with egg on their face.

This should have been a confidence booster for Bute. It absolutely was not and he looked like Mosley against Pacquiao. The man is done, move up and cash out. :verysad

He fell in love with the money shots and he's become a bit lazy in the ring. Some say it's lack of mental strength combined with overconfidence.

The relative lack of mental strength is exhibited by poor focus (he is very pleased with himself after a good shot and he stops to admire it), poor decision-making (he goes against the ropes instead of constantly spinning to stay away from the ropes - also points to overconfidence in his chin and power), lack of activity/combinations.

I bought myself a tally counter to count the number of jabs Bute throws. I haven't had to use it. How can you box without a jab? Grachev was trippling the jab at points! He was outjabbing Bute most of the time. How did Bute react? With head-movement (effective only half of the time) and with backing up (effective only on the rare occasions when he counter-punched Grachev to the body/head with hooks/uppercuts).

That is a suicidal strategy against someone with a really long precise jab like Froch. It will get Bute stopped again.

The problem is that the overconfidence stops Bute from trying to change his attitude and strategy and to work harder (mentally) in preparation for the fight and in the ring on the night. It's sad to see but Bute has become delusionally overconfident: he thinks he underperformed terribly against Froch, when in fact he only underperformed slightly (we now know that from the Grachev fight) and he thinks he's back in form after last night!

The truth is that Bute in fact lacks confidence, whatever he may consciously believe about himself. That is obvious.

Larouche has realised that Bute can no longer bounce back so he needs to manage his expectations and protect him.

What I am starting to worry about is that Bute might want to go on and on, because he has fallen in love with that image of himself KOing guys with one shot, and he wants to have that again... when it's behind him.

Interbox need to protect him. I don't want Bute to fight more than 2-3 fights.

You remember the morning after mate,I said that a loss like that could take something out of a guy that he never gets back.I wasn't taking the ****.
That is the kind of loss that leaves a permanent mental scar,and I think Bute is too much of a normal,humble and down to earth guy to get over it.
He still achieved more than most can dream of,but a rematch with Frcoh could be disasterous and should be left well alone.
