I used to doubt this but i think you have a really good point here , something you need to be kind of delusional about your quality to get over defeat like this , look at Andrade after he got KTFO by Bute , Librado is the same kind of guy that Bute

I suspect Larouche knows the writing is on the wall mate.
Bute is in a terrible position though. If he backs out of the rematch, outside of his hardcore fans,he will become a laughing stock. How can he be taken seriously in the toughest sport of all of he refuses a signed rematch?
For his sake,I hope he does refuse but it's a terrible dilemma for a decent guy to be in.
I want to gloat and try to think of the annoying Bute fans when I'm having doubts, but I genuinely feel a bit sorry for him and the decent fans.

Thanks Bat ! i think that all Bute's fans have done well this morning and are more down to earth. Like Beast wrote earlier we still have hope but without the same optimisms we had.

Like i told Even if i love Bute (no homo) i love Boxing over him :bbb

Larouche reaction was the complete opposite of Bute. But those 2 are like brothers so Larouche love Bute too much to lie to him , we will see after Froch fight what will be the outcome. Bute don't diserve to be hang on the public place because of some of his fans!

As usual, you profess your love for Bute too much.:yep

Don't worry about him. He's a professional fighter. He gets paid to take punches. Paid very well, compared to the rest in his profession.

Bute has a moral responsibility to his fans - the ones that have been shelling out in Montreal since back in the day to watch him - the 10,000+ that bought a ticket last night. That responsibility requires him to rematch Froch and go out on his shield (metaphorically) trying to put in a great performance.

He also has a responsibility to fight Pascal, for the benefit of the local scene.

After that, he can retire with his health (if not ego) intact, and enjoy a good life alongside his family who love him and 10,000+ people who respect and admire him greatly as a man and as a human being, and who have affection towards him as a person.

A professional life well lived - achieved his potential and did very well, good for the fans, good for Montreal boxing, good for boxing in general - one of the very best of his era in that regard, no doubt about it. That's all I'm asking for.

The rest is down to Interbox and his coach, who have a duty to protect him and manage him well.

Would you really want him to go in against Froch in March? And is there a time limit on the clause?
I don't think for a minute that Larouche wants Frcoh in March.I used to think he was just a loudmouth but apart from the glove nonsense,he impressed me when he was over here.
    I don't know how he can get out of it,but he's nowhere near ready for Froch,and if,as I suspect will happen,Froch doesn't shine against Mack,it won't mean a thing.
They're on different levels, and Bute needs a way to repay the fans' faith.

He has to stay clear from every big puncher. The next guy with heavy hands will pierce holes in him and end his career. Froch took his warrior soul away and now, Bute is left with a ton of doubts about what he can take. After what I saw yesterday, he needs to face someone less powerful than Froch, so he can get more mojo back in his hands and feet movements. If he can get back to his old self again, maybe he could try and avenge his English Wooping. But not now, it would be like saying no to the big money Pascal, Ward and a couple others will trow his way before he retires for good. Just saying...

Bute will lose to Froch again. So what? He'll get stopped. Yeah. But he needs to try to do better. His preparation at least can and should be better. His strategy also. Anything else, time won't change anyway. Be sure of that.

Bute needs to repay the fans' faith not in the sense that he needs to prove that he can beat Froch, but in the sense that he will take the rematch and do his utmost to put in a good performance.

That's what it is about, not the L/W.
