    Exactly, forget Froch won very dominantly against Bute, Bute was avoided and not just by Ward

    Bute doesnt have the most sparkling resume but at the end of the S6, only Ward, Froch and Kessler could have a better resume than Bute and Bute was the only SMW left to fight. even then Bute was undefeated unlike Froch and Kessler, had had around 9 title fights, beaten Berrio IBF champ who KOd Steiglitz, Andrade twice who was #3 and #5 SMW, Magee who is fighting Kessler next for the WBA regular title and had pushed Froch.
    so Bute had some pedigree if not the best

    That was Ward trying to build the fight apparently

    Sartison didnt want to fight Bute either?

    Ward had another couple, many felt he lost to D Boone and some saw the Bika fight as a draw

    think you must be dummy.
    The S6 had finished when Bute offered to fight Ward in Oakland.
    Kessler and Dirrell had both dropped out and Kessler had fought while it (the S6) was still ongoing. Dirrell fought only a couple of weeks after it had finished and had been in the gym and sparring for a long time before.
    Pavlik wasnt even in the S6 dummy :patsch
