At 28, Andre Ward has already accomplished so much:

    Olympic Gold Medalist
    Winner of the Super Six
    WBC/WBA SMW Champion

On top of that, he's undefeated. The question is: Could he become the next Roy Jones?

    No sir.

He hasn't got enough time, and where as he is better than Jones from a text book stand point, he doesn't posses the extreme physical gifts, the flair for showmanship nor the out going personality.

He's not the second Roy Jones, he bears more resembelence to Hopkins.

    He's the first Andre Ward.

I wouldn't like say that. He's being Andre Ward... just himself. He'll keep on winning though.

He may well accomplish more than RJJ, but there will only ever be one RJJ.

Ward should just be looking to cement his own individual legacy

I don't feel that he will be like Roy. Ward has built up his reputation, but Roy was incredible from the start. I saw him fight in Reno Nevada against Art Serwano. Absolutely scary skills. Handspeed.

He has more in common with Hopkins than Jones. Excellent technique, superb footwork, physical, rough style, ring intelligence and dirty tactics. He's faster than Hopkins ever was but isn't the puncher Hopkins was in his prime middle weight days.

And one more thing, he doesn't completely rely on athleticism to get by.

He'll be a force for a longer time even if his gifts are gone due to his full knowledge of the basic techniques.

If you mean p4p # 1, then yes. He will never live up to the excitement factor but few ever will. I'm not missing any of his fights so he is exciting enough as is.

    Hi mate,

I'm a big fan of Andre's, but realistically, I don't see how he could accomplish more than Roy.

He's got to move up to 175 within the next 18 months, and then we'll see what happens, but I can't see moving up any higher like what Roy did.

    Regards, Loudon.

He lacks the excitement and showboating Roy displayed. Use to love it when he'd throw himself In the corner act like he was gonna let in a few freebies and then throw that left

    He's the next no one.

He is Andre Ward, a legend in the making.

One point of intreuge, is that Virgill Hunter takes great pleasure in telling people that Ward will one day be the HW champion of the world.:think
