Considering between 7k-8k showed up in Canada to see Bradley-Holt a few years ago, I think plenty of people would want to see it.

How many tickets were sold to see Bute take on a novice last night? 11k?

How many people came to see him fight Jean Paul Mendy? Fulgencio Zuniga?

Yeh, I think a fight with Stieglitz would do fine.

I'd think about doing something else because this party is coming to a close.

anything but Froch. Ward doesn't have the pop to KO him and he might be able to steal 4-5 rounds giving Ward his closest fight and earning respect int he process..... He'd beat Abraham so that'd be his best option, I would advise to stay away from Kessler and Froch. Actually I'd advise retirement but if he must fight on those are my choices.

The guys lost all confidence. He has not tightened up his defence and still stays on the ropes too long. A Froch rematch would an exact replica of the first fight. He'd be better off fighting the lower ranked boxers while still amassing a sell out crowd and earning his money before retiring because once your confidence has gone the games up!

At this stage of his career, he's deserved the right to choose his own course because of the type of money he's generated for his promotional firm, so if he really wants that Froch rematch, then no matter the outcome, he should get it.

There is talk from HBO apparently aiming to make Ward vs Pavlik & Froch vs Bute, then have the winners face each other, with the losers having the possibility to also face each other on the network as well.

The incentive no matter what, is to have 2 very decent paydays thanks to HBO.

groves, Oosthuizen, george... put him in with fighters with not too much power?

hope you're being funny? two of these guys are big punchers, the other is a very good one.

bute doesn't need to be going through with the froch rematch, he'd be wiped out and that would be the end of his career. and his team know this.

they need to rebuild him slowly to try and get as much confidence back as possible. this would be the smartest thing to do.

Who would you match him with in his next fight then?

  11. I think I'd put him in with Nikola Sjeckloca who is ranked number 1 by the WBC. He will therefore be ranked number 1 himself should he win and will be given the title should Ward move up.

I then have him fight madatorys in Canada until such time I felt his confidence was built up enough to tackle either Pascal or Stevenson which would be big bouts in the land of the Maple Leaf.

 I was thinking the same thing. And Groves appears to be a good finisher, though he's still in the formative part of his career.

I think George might be the "safest" of the 3, he's possibly the biggest puncher, but he did take a man-sized beating from Adonis (the kind where it's probably safe to assume he won't be the same again...when he was only a fringe contender).

Oosthuizen obviously is the least powerful of the 3, but I think he can cause Bute a lot of problems as well.

if GG KO'd him with headgear on, he'd be screwed as a pro
