Froch: ''I want Andre Ward rematch in the UK!''

This is a thread about Carl Froch wanting a rematch with Andre Ward. In the initial fight, Andre proved beyond all reasonable doubt that he's better than Carl, but if everything goes to plan and Carl beats Mack, Bute and Kessler in the next year, he's 100% worthy of a rematch if Ward is still at 168. If not, it's a moot point and Froch will be retired anyway.

 

Promotional gimmick, used to exploit a desperate and glory starved fanbase, for financial gain. Kinda like what Lewis TRIED to do back when he was pretending to be British.

Donaire is an American citizen who tried to qualify for the U.S. olympic team, and learned his craft while living in the U.S.

doniare is a filipion....look at the photos. people take citizenship because its easier for them, especially in the USA and Australia where its notoriously hard to get green cards/visas. My best friend from school is now an aussie citizen...but hes still english, he still supports england when they play australia at rugby and cricket etc, how american does he look to you, he doesnt even hold up dual flags...he holds up one! and it aint american.

There's no point to a rematch.

The problem for Froch is that he's pretty limited in terms of his options at 168 right now.

After he defeats Mack, there's the Bute rematch which doesn't appear all that lucrative right now.... Kessler looked shot in his last fight....

I'd favour a move up to 175, to see what he can do there.

 

I'd rather see a rematch with Pascal. It would be far more entertaining than watching Ward win again.

 

It would certainly be a much more competitive fight in the UK IMO. Would like to see it, especially of Froch ices Bute again.
