I think Ward should fight him there. Doesn't matter where they fight bc Ward is going to dominate him.
I'd love to see Ward step up now and say "Look, I'll fight you in England no problem, let's do it!" It would be great for Boxing and for Ward's reputation. It pisses me off that a lot of US fight fans wont entertain the notion. I mentioned yesterday that the likes of Bute, Lacy, Martinez and Tzsyu came to fight in Britain as Champions and big favourites to win and not only did they lose but they had their hearts ripped out as the British fighters rose to the occasion in front of vocal partizan crowds and electric atmosphere's. I'm not saying Froch would beat Ward, but it would be great to see the guy as a champion man up and do what's right.
What did you see in their first fight, assuming that you saw it, that leads you to believe Froch would do any better? Fighting at home isn't gonna keep Ward's fists out of his face. The first fight was so lopsided its ridiculous, it would be like Abraham demanding a home turf re-match with Froch. For what? If it was a close competitive fight, then sure, but neither of the fights I mentioned were competitive at all. Froch keeps mentioning he came the closet to beating Ward because Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles each had it 115-113. Well what about the other judge with 20/20 vision that had it 118-110 Carl? Carl is in denial and all a re-match with Ward would do is allow Carl to complain some more about what he could have or would have done after Andre spanks him again.
So why did Ward slap the **** out Froch for 12 rds? :rofl Doesn't say much for Froch, then, does it? MMA Brit Michael Bisping used to say the same **** about Americans. Go watch what Dan Henderson did to that loud mout ***** Brit! :rofl:rofl:rofl
It would be great if SOG came over to Nottingham, but I don't think he'd ever take it especially if he holds WBA,WBC + RING belts
How about a Kessler rematch in Nottingham? It'd sell out and it'd be an action fight for sure, people would get their moneys worth.
So ward dominated their fight and Froch thinks he deserves a rematch in the UK? I wouldn't against it if their fight was at least a little competitive, but it wasn't.
No it wouldn't be like Abraham demanding a home-turf rematch because Froch just smashed Bute to ****ing pieces you **** whilst Abraham has looked utter ****. Froch said he didnt perform and was "flat" for the Ward fight, maybe there is a bit of truth in that? I'm not saying Froch will beat Ward either, but considering the options Ward has then it'd be good for his resume to have one fight outside of his comfort-zone? Froch was **** in that fight and he still had Ward gassed-out for the last few rounds. I'd like to see Ward man up and fight in the UK, it's not as if he has lots of other lucrative options ...
last time Ward fought at home and they had a close fight. Ward in unbeaten in the US while Froch in unbeaten in the UK. Remember when Bute left his hometown to fight in the UK
It is a weak era at SMW and that is not to do with continents. It is a case of the previous champ being so dominant, that his legacy is still hanging over the division. Every top fighter Ward has beaten has a loss that eventually dates back to the previous champ and his dominance, which Ward avoided. Ward is fighting in a weak SMW era. With what you say, it makes you wonder why Ward didnt dare chance his arm and do what all of the other original participants did and makes Dirrell look bad also. We dont know yet if Ward can travel and really prove himself? Ward would no way fight Froch in the UK. Ward is very smart with a great team around him, and entered a competition where all of the original contestants travelled abroad except for him. Tell me when has an American/American based SMW won a big fight in Europe? American and American based fighters and Canadian and Canadian based fighters dont seem to be able to win big fights at SMW when fighting in Europe. Consider how Lacy, Dirrell, J Taylor, Bute, Pascal, Mitchell, Brewer, Green etc all were beaten in Europe
